Is 2.5 oz. a good yield for a plant?

you can get 1.5lbs out of a 4x4 using 800w of HPS. IF it is actually equal to 800w HPS as they claim then it is possible. and top bin COBS are hitting 1.2-1.5 gpw
Ok second reading your probably right. That's achievable. I'm still waking up lol. 1.5lb would be doable. When I first read it I thought it was 1.5gpw :)

Well I'm gonna keep trying with my hid/blurple combo, but if push comes to shove I might have to do an auto under a single 3 w diode see if that don't get me my gpw! Lol

I also took into consideration the temperature issue & the electricity it would cost to regulate the heat with hid vs what id be saving with the led route.

I live in a house that has minor electrical issues, i figured HID would be a lot more hard on my electricity vs LED.......so i went LED, when i was told bigger yields it was more of a bonus really.......but if its otherwise......bummer.....i was hoping for that gram per watt..
Unfortunately those led panels are less efficient than HID! Heat will be a huge issue because they're dumping about as much heat as 800watt hid lights. Sorry to be bearer of bad news. We have an L E D section specifically for people to get educated on LEDs. Some are very poor and some are amazing. For $2k you could have amazing lights.

Again please return those and don't even inbox the. Those companies have been known to damage returns so they can charge you and then just resell them as refurbished.

And you really can't cooltube said panels. Eliminating random heat sucks.
2k = incredible and cool running COB setup.

COB or HID imo. I'm still on HID atm.
And even with cooltubes I still had to kick the AC's on twice. Feking hot summer so far.

I believe PLC is releasing a light that hooks up to ducted cooling.

2 Kessil H380's is plenty of light for one plant in a 3 gallon pot. A 5 gallon would increase the yield. I would aim for a 5-7 gallon pot in a 2X2 area, 180 watts of Kessil should be good. I would add a few white LEDs, maybe 4 in the corners, to even out the spectrum and bring it up to 50w per square ft

If your growing for fun/hobbie it doesn't matter what you pull so long as your happy and it was a success in your eyes ....getting from start to finish with no major issues alone is a triumph alone........you should do the same thing except do some topping and lst to see the difference in yeild .....good luck and congrats
