Is 1500 watt led equivalent to 1000 watt hps

I saw a 1500 watt led on Wayfair for 159 and was wondering if it’s equivalent to a 1000 watt hps

No Way!

Check the actual power draw on the Wayfair unit.
It will not be 1500W.

I checked and it says 260 watts

it will be difficult to determine the efficiency of no-name leds esp ones that use imaginary misleading wattage

find out actual power draw of unit and shoot for 60-100% of the power you would use with HID

if you only have a budget of $159, buy an HPS

you can get a quantum board that does pretty damn well for around 350 i got 2 150 solskins and im pretty impressed comming from 600 of hps

no name blurple lights suck, ive used a few. If youre going LED get quantum boards. If its worth doing, its worth doing right

pretty sure anything LED is better then hps. HPS sucks and no one uses them anymore.

I'm running both . I am fairly new but hps is still the shit in my opinion. Results speak for themselves . Alot of great growers use hps and prob always will . I have a 4x4 w 600 hps and a Mars hydro 1000 . Good results especially on the side closest to the hps

Actual wattage is what I look at . If I had to guess I would say maybe 600 to 800 led watts are probably going to be close to the 1000 hps .
