I love woot and understand that the sale is over and no longer available so this information is pretty much obsolete. That being said I have seen a couple of times when they have had indoor grow merchandise before this time so I am sure they will have it again.

For what it's worth, I bought the 135W round one and have been pleased with it. I have finished my grow yet, but so far so good.

I am doing just a little stealth grow in a cabinet with DWC. IMG_1063.jpg

Here's a little closer so you can see the growth. IMG_1065.jpg

This is my first LED grow and my first DWC grow so hopefully I won't mess it up too bad.

I hope this helps in some way.

PetFlora you love those junk chip on board with garbage reflector ebay crap LEDs. Get a real LED from A51, ApacheTech, AdvancedLED, etc. Not some Chinese shit on ebay with "COB and reflectors" basically total garbage those COB chips are shit. Just cause something is new tech don't mean its superior to old tech. Most LEDs have reflectors for EACH 3w LED diode just like my LED does. COB Chinese ebay crap LEDs aren't the way to go stop suggesting people waste their money on them.

Sadly, it is yu wh are providing a disservice, by chiming in without knowing from what you speak, as it relates to these chinese offerings

I am well aware that A51/Apache Tech are great lights. I recommend them to people all the time

You must be aware that many cannot afford them

I am helping them to avoid the chinese crap you speak of

Here we have new tech: COBs are replacing individual diodes in both residential and commercial applications. Each cob has it's' own heat sink

Drivers may be the weak link. Newer COBS are available with DOB (driver on board the chip)

Easy to upgrade drivers and/or COBs

The basic hardware couldn't be much simpler

Reflectors are superior to individual diode lenses which are typically made of cheap plastic. They restrict lumens and are prone to fading over time

Should failure occur, these are much easier to resolve without resorting to contacting the manufacturers

Several RIU growers are using them now. MediScientist already competed a grow

That thing you linked is like 300 bucks man, A51 is coming out with a 75w panel it will be better than that junk Chinese LED which is a complete waste of 300$ for 200$ more you can get a A51 SGS. Does that have any warranty? Who I the seller? Too many unknowns for my 300$...

Again, this is not about YOU, and your ability to purchase higher quality products

Companies like A 51 design well in advance of product release.

Being in the led industry, I am aware of what's coming

In LED tech, 6 months is like 6 years

In my own company- LED RetroFIT Technologies (we retrofit T8/troffer lighting in offices) 6 months ago I was investigating higher power tubes to replace the ~ 18w tubes we experimented with. Low and behold, I came across smd panels, which do a much better job of spreading light homogeneously, so a much better choice

Unlike most chinese crap, the new cob/reflector tech can be easily upgraded by the end user

The essential hardware (driver, fan, cob) are all easily upgradable. Heat sink selected to accommodate chip wattage

I would not be surprised, if next years A51 featured cob/reflectors, but using high q chips/drivers

Sorry to tell you but those COB Chinese junk LEDs are just a waste of time. Buy from a known dealer not some Chinese guy on ebay. There is way better panels than that for 300 bucks man you keep suggesting people waste money on bad tech those are not good lights and have no warranty.

And I would be surprised if they did use COBs because single diode LED chips are much more powerful and efficient those COB chips aren't as good as you think they are they are just a way cheaper way to make LEDs.... cheaper isn't better...
