So Ive been floating around on here for a while and will be starting my first grow soon or so I hope to and I figured that its high time that I introduce my self and ask a few questions. Im a junior working on a degree in chemical engineering and as a result spend a lot of time at home studying and growing an herb plant seems like a great side and a way to relax beyond the obvious uses of it. Anywho, Im currently designing a stealth grow box-like-thing and have a couple questions or areas that need clarification.
I plan on growing no more then 3 plants realistically probably 2 using CLFs for the majority of the grow. When I comes to flowering I realize that in a perfect world, there would be none of those evil little creatures called squirrels or cats for that matter, I would have my 69 Charger RT and I would have a HPS light for flowering . BUT for starters its a bit too bulky for my area, its not very subtle, produce more heat, and its just impractical for my design (the light not the car). With that what are some other options regarding the CLF idea maybe not a CLF in and of itself but a different bulb with the red blue spectrum that can be used to flowering? Ive heard some ideas regarding reptile lights but not enough information on there so If someone could elaborate that would be appreciated.
my biggest concern is smell, though I think a charcoal filter system should help but im open to ideas. My goal is to keep this hidden from everyone, not to say im stingy and wont share, but the everyone im referring to are pesky roommates. So anyone have any other suggestions besides and active charcoal filter?
Any ways im done now and it your turn to say something worthwhile. Or not
