Inspection Found My Grow ...

So last week we had an inspection and they went through and found my grow. They even called drug enforcement on me lol. Funny thing was the drug officer called me and asked if I was in compliance with the laws, I said yes he basically said "Well, I'm not going to even mess with this, just make sure you are good with your Management." Kinda like it was a waste of his time, which it would have been with my petty 10 plant grow lol.

Anyways, the question I have is, I have my grow in a box that is all closed up and not attached to the apartment in any way. How do they have the right to go through my personal shit? Thats like going through my dresser drawers and finding something illegal and then turning me in for it. That case would get thrown out in a heartbeat. I can understand if it was in their closet and light was beaming out of it or they were checking for damages and opened the closet to a buncha plants, but it was in my box with a lock on it with the light off and they got into it and took pictures of it.

Now nothing will come of this due to the fact that I have my medical card and am within the limits of everything. But they are threatening to have it end in eviction and what not which is fine, they don't want that in their apartment and they have a right to do that, but they don't have the right to snoop through people stuff to find things like this. Am I right or way off base here?

they had to have unscrewed the latch which if i remeber correctly would be considered a breach of their contract on their part so if they do try to evict put out motion to dismiss with prejudice and for breach of contract and possibly even breaking and entering since they did tecnically break into what looks to be a 4 by 4 room

Well I'm guessing they found the key, I just leave it on my work bench adjacent to the box. There wasn't anything that showed them unscrewing anything. But regardless, Unless that door was WIDE open, which I gaurantee it wasn't, they have no right to get into that box, locked or not.

Unless they have a rule against the legal use of medication on their premises they probably can't evict you I would think. Ask them what the reason is lmao.

A landlord has reasonable right to enter the premises THEY own. Usually inspections are done if they are trying to sell the place.

yeaaa man i think u got urself a fair case man.. in my opinion they had no right doing that.. adn would lose the case in a heartbeat.. fuck them.. dont let them do that shit... thats not right

Oh yes, I know this and that's fine, That's why my light and ventilation schedule is off during the day. We knew they were coming, it was the anual inspection we get every year, however I'm focusing on the fact that they opened up my box. Noone has a right to go into YOUR shit. Renters rights baby. lol

I agree 100%. They have the right to inspect their property all they want, that box is not their property though lol.

well I showed them my card, told em why I have the card and that I'm within the limit, I'll hear what the outcome is by tomorrow, but I think it's going to end bad.

yeaaa. it will end bad for them... if u have a safe layin around your house.... and a key layin around.... they have NO right at all to go get that key... put it in the safe.. and open it... like u said.. its not like it was in a closet or their room... its not like you were destroying anything by growing it. your legal..... and abiding by the rules.. if they do try to evict you... i would DEFF fight it!

TO be honest, I would get a lawyer that doesnt get paid until you do and sue.. trust me.. sue.

I'll tell you guys one thing. When you get a call from your wife while you are at work stating she just got a call from Officer such and such from County Drug Enforcement .... I don't think I've ever been instantly sick like that ever ... that aweful feeling that washes over you when your parents found out you were somewhere you wasn't suppose to be or they find yer porn when yer 13 and didn't know how to hide shit yet ... ya, that has NOTHING on what I was feeling at that point in time lol. Even though I was reassuring myself that I had a medical card, was within all the limits and everything, it was still a heart stopping moment lol. The sucky thing is, that feeling didn't go away until after I talked with the officer on the phone and realized how petty it seemed to him, I feel a ton better about having this grow now also because everyone knows that even tho you are as legit as you can be, there is always that off chance that a cop can be a dick and get ya for federal shit.

i dont know man if i had a get out cause in uk i would limit myself strictly to what the law stated i could have, then id stick two fingers up to any fucker who tried to argue against it , im not sure what the fuck is going on in usa but i know, if i had a medical card allowing me to grow, no fucker would ever see me again.

i indestand on how scetchy the laws are at the moment and i totally agrree wid how your feeling dude , im just glad the weed is finally coming round in usa it means uk cant be to far behiond ?

Sherriffs came to my kids friends house in california because the ex called and turned him in for growing(she grows too!),anyways they looked at his prop 215 envelope he keeps at the ready and checked out his grow and left.About 2 weeks later they show up again with DEA agent in tow and a warrant,same thing again they look at his grow and his paperwork and leave,they did not take one thing either time but they searched everywhere even in the backyard sheds.

ha ha im not high i think dats the problem all im saying is, if i had a medical clause that allowed me to grow weed, id be like in heaven growing my shit,id be smoking it all alone no fucker else involved but thats just me , wtf can they still fuck you up even if you have a medical card ? amewrica sounds more fucked up than uk ?
