Hello all,

I was wondering about your thoughts on Heat Seeking Infrared Devices.

What is the deal with those things?

What if I have a 400-watt lamp in a 5 x 5.5 foot space?

Should I just go with CFL's? I'd rather go with HID but...

Anybody???

Its rare they use them and cant do much as they have to have probably cause to use it to find a grow. They are forbidden to randomly scan a home but if your already investigated they can get a warrant to scan thern use that finding to gain a search warrant for the resident. A 400 watt hid light is like a computer running basically and if its digital even less power. If your not showing anyone or have a histroy your fine with a 400 watt light

its like having 4 regular sized incandesent bulbs on, thats a good perspective on how much energy your really using imo. and like the guy above said the supreme court ruled they cannot flir peoples houses w/o a warrant first. I wouldnt worry about it at all, like said above make sure no one finds out and that sort of stuff and your good to go.

My boy was running 16 one thousand watt lights in one 500,000 dollar house. he ran that shit with a tap into the electrical grid for 2 years before they lit his house up. And yeah they have to get a search warnt to light your house up. and by then your allready fucked from the other sloppy shit you'v done. so dont trip off a 400.

get a 1000 watt. might as well make it worth it
