Induction Lights? The newest (supposedly) technology in Induction Grow Lights

Believe me I am all into proper spectrum but hps with its horrible spectrum flies in the face of this view that "proper spectrum" is the end all as I have seen and smoked some awesome results grown with only hps
I have also wondered how hps makes great big dense buds.
most here would say its not there spectrum.
So I'd guess its the Quanity of light they deliver?

1000hps's puts out 1800umol@24" so maybe is my new goal.
ill have to see if 2 400w induction light @ 6-8 in (where i rum my lights)
is anywhere near that.....

I agree .......you look at the spectral distribution of an hps bulb and it's the opposite of the par curve:-P lol......honestly it's all about the 140-145 lumen per watt IMO,I know that's not what many want to hear around here but what other explanation is there? With my experiences with hid, hps yielded the best even over CMH, which has drastically betterpar output.maybe the new 860w all start is a different story, if we can get it to fire up:-)

Sorry about the phones auto correct.......you get the idea

the 860 does fine on an hps ballast

So going against the manufacturers recommended ballast then.......that doesn't put me at ease, has the guy on icrag seen any issues at all doing this?I imagine longevity is shortened or quickened lumen depreciation, idk.

Supposedly switchable ballasts are out also?(hyroot))

Maybe were wrong an the hps is the best spectra for Hemp lol.

Does the 830 CMH require ol Magnetic HPS ballasts?
(like the 330 an 150w)

whats up with that weird end on the 830w CMH.

The 205/330/860w all start cmh bulbs use a magnetic mh ballast and the 250/400 retrowhite CMH (discontinued) run on magnetic hps ballast a. So hence the confusion, because fonzarelli can't get his 860w to fire up on an 1000w mag mh ballast.

Maybe just go with the elite agro and call it a day:-P

The 860 w has less lumens per watt than the 330 w

860 - 95 lumens per watt

330 - 100 lumens per watt.

I found this on ic rag. They are using switchable ballasts with 860. Maybe the 860 differs from the 330 on ballasts since the 860 runs a higher voltage. The philips site doesn't say anything about ballasts for the 860 but says the 330 does not work on hps ballasts .

I have some old school nev gear on he way !!

Transplanted 4 of my auto haze s1 to quart sized pots.

The 90 superskunk reversal is working , starting to see balls.
The mama is kinda low yielding for me, but trics are above average.
She don't smell like RKS.
It reminds me of Magnus genetics worlock, kinda sweet an sour.
Its deffinatly Not the brick weed that smells like a skunks ass from decades past i search for.
But it seems dank.

Germinatin today
Raredankness. UVA, an A+ wonder, an sincity seeds Sinfully Sour.
Somehow I lost the Chemtrail seed?

Harvested The blue himalayn auto an Serious lemon Haze (photo)from subrosa.
The BH is pretty week bud?
Glad I didn't breed with that one.
But the Siroius Lemon Haze is INSANE!
Lemon candy taste, very potent.

On a sad note, my Riant 400w induction light died the other day.
We had power go out to most of the city.
It went on an off several times.
When it came back on the ballast was damaged.
It runs for a second an goes out?
Even though it wasent his fault an the warrenty dosent cover the power company fucking it up.
Mr Wu will fix it if I send the ballast to him in Hong Kong. (40$ shipped in a flat rate USPS box)

Riant once again gets BIG respect from ol scarhole...

Did you not have it running through a surge protector or something?? I am not great with electronics but wouldn't a good power strip have saved your light?

Thats sucks about your light. So are they covering everything and you just have to pay shipping right? Did they give you an eta? The down time is always hurtin.

Yep , Riant will repair an send it back free, I just have to get it there.

I have 2 surge protectors, an it still died.
i need an somthing to protect aginst low voltage?

im using my old Hps/CMH set up, the heat differance is wild.

i hear Phillips is discontinuing. Chm bulbs?
