Where are you? If you put them outside everyday and pull them in at night you should be ok, but the problem is you'll probably induce early flower so I'll suggest you put the under lights a few hours after you pull them in at night, so in short yes you did start too early, way too early.

It will work as long as you supplement the low light during winter with cfl"s or something to compensate.
I tried it early outdoors one time and got flowering in less than a month outdoors because I planted very early spring, you can get away with March but from what others tell me late April is best in Cali, to avoid winds, late winter storms and frost. I saved mine by putting them in a sunnier position.
It will work but your gonna get some headaches judging from my past experiences.

There's a few good growers, much better than me on here to give advice, I'll tell you who they are doublejj, garden boss, and TWS.
I think they are all Cali growers and if you follow those guys you won't go wrong. They all have outdoor threads and will impart some good knowledge on you if you ask. I'm only in my third crop so I have very limited knowledge but those guys probably have decades between them.

I'm in oregon and started my seeds on christmas. Now that seems way too early for me, usually it's with clones started in march. I am aiming for plants in 15 -20 gallon pots by end of april (fingers crossed they aren't rootbound). Transplanting into 200-300 gallon smart pots in a hoop house with T5's to supplement. Transitioning the lights off and out of the hoophouse by early june. Other than the early start, this works well for me. I might take cutting off those seedlings if they are getting too big by mid february and make those my outdoors, we'll see. Flowering early means losing valuable veg time, so watch out for that.

If u have a med card and ur legal use supplemental lighting on them outside after the sun has gone down to save you bringing them inside all the time
