Well, they'd get more than 5 hours, but it would be slightly diluted light. If you know that won't work, I can take the risk and plant them out in the open.
It will work, like your plants will still grow, but you will have better productivity with more sun, or stronger, undiluted sun. You'll get stronger bigger plants if you put them out in the open more. So depends if you wanna take the risk to get more dope I guess. I'm in same area as you said you're in, my advice would be south facing treelines, and not near water, they tend to look near water sources
