alrighty peoples im almost done building so figured id post a few pictures now. my brother still didnt bring me his camera so had to use my phone and they kinda suck. ill put up pictures of the inside shortly. i have to hook up the lights so its bright enough to see on the phone

so heres the teaser. standard dresser by day :)

been smoking and scribbled this up on mspaint real quick. heres and idea how t he inside will be layed out ill give measurements in a bit here when i open it back up and hook up the lights for inside pictures

ok hooked up a couple lights for inside pictures here they are.

first my light setup made from a few peices of board a couple walmart vanity fixtures and 2 side panels from a old computer as a reflector. gonna have to just remove the sockets from the vanity fixture i think and figure out something else for a reflector

thought about trying to squeeze in 6 but probably 3-4 plants trying scrog and lst. the actual grow area is around 35in h - 31in w - 16in d

quick edit picked up a couple sterlite tubs 16qt each couldnt find any square pots :( now debating using 1 or 2 plants per tub. so 2 plants with 16qt each or 4 with 8qt each. hooked up the lights gonna leave it on for around an hour with no fans to see how hot it gets. between the fixtures the base i made and y splitters it makes the lights take up a bit more space then id like :/ debating adjusting some things a little. currently a little over 1.5 ft of grow height. could i make it work with 6inch of veg height then screen and flower? that would leave me a little over 1 foot of flowering room

ok 1 more edit lol after 15 min i hit 105 with the thermometer stuck right inbetween the lights on the fictures. stacked up some boxes to set it under the lights now as if it were where the plants would be. so ill report back in about 15 or 20 more min with what the temp hits there

1 more update ^^ temp settled at 110 with no air flow. room temp is around 70 btw. just hooked up the exaust now to see what it goes to. i wasnt expecting much from the fan its a cheap pc fan and i only have a 9 volt adapter. but boy is that thing humming and i can feel the air sucking into the box pretty good.

little over half an hour since turning the exaust on and the thermo is reading 118 with it placed about 2 inches under the bulbs ^^ i moved it down to where the top of the soil will be to see what happens there. am i gonna have a problem here or is it just because of where i placed the thermo? will report back in another half hour or so with the temp

fell asleep earlier and didnt report back ^^ the temps went down to 95 with just the exaust on. going to cut a few more vent holes i noticed the tubs i set in there to use for pots covered the front intakes i made. so could i expect a 10-20 degree drop with some more intakes and the extra fans that with blow across the plants? the exause is around 5in and i have exactly that in intakes. 4x 1 1/4in holes was 6 but 2 are blocked

Cool air sinks and hot air rises. Therefore put the intakes at the bottom of the dresser and vent the exhaust out of the top. With a dresser that big you will also need something bigger than PC fans to move air.

i have seeds popped open waiting to go into the dirt wanted to do it today but running into some problems with the door :( it worked fine but it was just barely off perfect and i stripped a screw so i bought some new ones today. popped off the door spent like an hour filing down the wood where the hinges go so its be all nice and flush. had my cousin come hold the door up for me while i drilled holes for the screws. got it all done door screwed on tried to close and no go >< it ended up being like 1/8th of a inch if that to low so the bottom caught and wouldnt close. so im in a pretty bad mood after all that and my dog ate my electric tape so putting everything off till tommorow. on a positive note though i got the light fixture completed and added a fan to it its pretty pimp ill add a picture later when i wake up. off to sleep now finally its almost 3:30 pm

4th attempt to fix the door failed :( i just seem to be having no luck with the hinges. i keep ending up having 1 screw cause problems then it looses support and the rest come lose. this time one i screwed in went right between the wood and panel they glue on the outside for the fancy look. so it just split from the wood and the screw has no support. think ill just leave it be for now untill it totally breaks and i have to fix it then try hinges on the other side where theres not 20 holes already ^^

nice set up but looks real short. mabey take out the top droor for more room. i built a box with a hinged door and it is 4'x2'x2' out of 3/4" plywood and ordered some reflective mylar or mirrior paper this stuff works amazingly btw. and i was thinking about putting some old dressor droors on the front to make it look like a real antique dresser just in case my little knephew is ever in my room, dont want to spoil the youth even though i have my card i still want to hide it from the youngsters. but yea mabey try to add a bowl of ice to the back of your intake fans to bring the temps down it worked quite well 4 me:)
