Indoor CFL Grow 1x Akorn Snowbud 1x Lemon Kush 1x Not a clue.

Hello there this is my first grow ever and wanted to document it all on here for reference.

Also because I've been researching akorn grows and haven't been able to find many.

Oh and also for constructive criticism. Sorry I'm high. Lol

Anyways

I planted my first already germed seed which is a random seed that came up in some of my brother in laws herb on October 24th.

Seeds will all be planted in Organic Soil. All plants will also be LST'ed. and topped.

This was taken on the 28th after the seed sprouted and started showing its first leaves.

At this point I had this one plant under 4x 26w 5500k Spiral CFL's attached to a 8.5in clamp reflector via a 4 bulb photography socket. Horrible set up I KNOW but it does get better. Lol

After smoking one and brainstorming a bit I concocted another idea. Nike Box with Mylar on the walls.

Heres the seed after about a week of growth. November 1st. At this point the Lemon Kush and Snowbud seeds I ordered from Herbies Seeds should be getting here any day now.

Top first. Then LST.

Make sure that thing can handle heat, don't burn the place down. Start thinking ventilation. You want airflow on the plants. You also will need exhaust and passive air intake in that closet. Also time to ponder odor control.

Keep them short!

The Lemon Kush and SnowBud were topped at 5 nodes and the mystery seed was topped after some lst. Lemon Kush and Snowbud will be 4 way LST'ed. I have 2 8 in fans blowing over the top of plants at the moment and the closet is very breathable because of the material its made out of.

Luckily my building alsways smells like a shop so I dont think it should be too bad.

Snowbud on the left and Lemon kush on the right a day after being topped on November 20th will take updated pictures of all plants, grow tent set up, and new CFl reflector whhich is currently housing 4 26W 5000K CFL's and 4 42W 6500k CFL's

So heres my new set up made a DIY reflector wondering if this is the best way to set up bulbs though because i feel like theres so much lights not being utilized. Also my light schedule is the 12-1 12 hours on starting at 10pm off at 10am on at 330pm for an hour off at 430pm so on and so forth.

I will post pictures of plants today when lights come on. I put the mystery plant into flowering yesterday its a month and 5 days old. just wanna know what the hell it is already lol

Left to right. Snowbud Akorn (3 weeks 2 days old) which is growing slower than Lemon Kush and was planted a day earlier you can see the new growth after topping. Mystery Seed (1 month 5 days old) 2nd day into flowering. Lemon Kush (3 weeks 1 day old) growing lovely and responded well to topping.

Started 4 way LST'ing the Lemon Kush today seeing as how its getting taller than the Snowbud. Lemon Kush 3 weeks 6 days old.
SAM_1348.jpgSAM_1349.jpgSAM_1350.jpgSAM_1351.jpg

Snowbud is not as tall as the Lemon Kush he growth is much more compact and nodes are tighter. Perhaps its just genetics? Anyone have any back ground on these strains or something i can refer to?

as far as the Acorn she is a slow grower watch out for a magnesium she likes magnesium. Also if she is a medium shade of green then that's fine don't go any lighter than a medium green and of course dark green then she's going to start the claw and that's going to be over nitrogen. she responds real good at least I found with filming and topping I haven't supercropping yet but I'm going to I've already done the other two techniques along with LSt.

Heres the Akorn Snowbud at a month at 2 days old. Shes been 4 way LST but these aren't current pictures (12/3/13) I'll take some more pictures today when lights cut on. Looks way different than yours weird. topped her once at the 4th node.

I haven't ran into any problems with nutrient deficiencies with any of my plants. I use filtered water and fox farms ocean forest soil thats pretty much it no added nutrients I dont like the idea of them.

Akorn (Snowbud) and Lemon Kush at a month and four days old all is well

Heres the random seed a week and three days into flower no signs of sex yet. :/ I kind of see small white pistil looking things but the tips are a tab brown and they aren't all that long.

Well i attempted to fim mine when the 5th node was still in terminal. It didn't take so I attempted again when the 7th developed. That one took. My whole initial plan was to main line so everything removed would be for clones. After the fim took the hormones were directed to the lower shoots. When they took dominance I grew them out for a week and then toped at the 3rd. This was nov 30. I lst her terminal shoots down below the meristem hub and this directed hormones to the secondary shoots2 & 3. When I noticed some growth at the side shoots I cut them off and hormones now go back to the main terminal shoots. The tops always responded fairly quickly after any high or low stress technique. Now I release her lst bondage and with 4 even mains I begin to stack on nodes. Lol ih and your acorn is 1 day younger than mine. Weird .

Well I topped at the 5th node and i left the lower growth on didnt cut them off when i low stressed trained i repositioned them so that they we coming up over the growth that was tied down so they can grow strong so unlike your plant that has 4 tops i have 6. I've only topped once.

Get some 68w (300w equivalent) 2700k cfl. Home depot for $17ea. I'm thinking about toping the 4 to make 8. Or fim and get 16. Either way were talkjng baby arms.
