You could have shocked it into a hermie but not into a male. If it was cut from a female it is a female.

Looks to be ok, alittle shock but doesn't seem to be herming, but I can't look at them really close. Do you see balls? It also takes alittle time from shock to recover about 2 weeks.

well hopefully these are better. As you can see the outdoor plants are healthy, not stressed too bad at all, and the clone has a great start on reclaiming her might. But if you look at the close ups of her tops (the picks with the tiny dead foliage), right where the branches come out there are those things, they aren't clustered at all, they are kind of in the shape of an oval tear drop, with like a split down the middle and a tiny hair (or dead foliage) coming out of the split. They are coming out right where the sun leaves come out (are they just new branches?) I want to trim a couple of the seedlings branches off, and then bend down the remaining lower ones so the branches that come off the tops can shoot up high and out unencumbered. If you look real close at the last two close up pics, they are of my Skunk plant, you can see there is a tiny little something coming out of the right hand side of where the top branches are coming out. I am thinking about starting another thread for my indoor set up... but here it is anyway. As you can see the one from my house got stretched out. Since I took these pics the fluorescents have been moved closer (to about a foot away), and the HPS has been dropped about a foot (so its 2 feet 7 inches away). It is somewhat cooler in there now. I will be getting a thermostat etc. to monitor their environment more accurately hopefully later this afternoon. They all seem very healthy, I plan to transplant them into fox farm 2/3ocean forest-1/3 light warrior mix in 5 gal pots in 2 1/2 weeks, then 20-23 days later starting the flowering cycle (this will also give me time to get a couple more clones to replace males, and let them get settled before I flower them) and also starting them on bloom nutes (again fox farm). I should also get some string and string up those fluorescents to give the plants more direct fluorescent light. I have figured out the exhaust problem and will be taking care of that and adding an extra fan this afternoon. I just have an angle issue with the fluorescents to work out. So any advice guys/gals?

Thats how I found my outdoor flowering period. So... are those pistils? Are those preflower sites? My outdoor flower cycle does not start until September 1st... should I use coverings to force flower?

I have found out that it is too early to be sure. I went out and got a book (smart me right?), and basically from what I could tell: the pre-flower stage occurs when the plant is physically mature enough to flower, but the lighting schedule has not set the plant into flower.

But even after reading the book I am still left in the dark about my clone. Please look very closely at the pics! if you look at the pods coming out of the clone you may just be able to see that there is a hair (just one that I can see) coming out of the splits. I am confused.... looks like at least a couple of the seedlings are female though. Right now I am crossing my fingers and hoping that the nute schedule I gave them along with the mister and shade will make em ladies. But its hot outside, and maybe they got a little too much potassium... I don't know...

just look at these two pics..... in the lower middle of the first you can see a branch going out to the left.... what are those at the stock just hanging there? the second pic is a downward view of the same spot as the second... what do you think?

The pistil calyx looks just like the staminate floral bud... so which is it?

if you look closely at the pic you will see that there was a sun leaf growing from right there, and that its only branched on one side. I think they are a combination of leaf growth/branching out/flowering, and I think she is all female. Every where that I looked at the top I saw signs of pistils forming! Moving her here caused her to go back into veg as I have found out by checking the flowering cycle for where I am. There not set to really flower out for another two weeks or so!

I decided to tie the clones four lower branches down so they will grow more laterally. She is Def female and I am pretty sure that two of the three seedlings are too.... still too early on the third one though... I gave them all a little bloom nutes today... lets see what happens

uhh... sorry no pics... been super busy.... but all is well. Will have 100% definite sex by July 21st! Added to my indoor set up... 4 clones... Purple Kush, Grape Ape, Sensi Star,... and I think original skunk #1. you shall see soon. I am vegging indoors, and will start the Flower cycle for them August 1st.

it looks as though there is a layer of like white dust (tiny white spots) coming up all over the indoor plants leaves... does anyone know what that is from?

well I was just noticing the difference between the pics I last took, and how the plants look now. Especially the seedlings... I think they are growing about 2 to 2 1/2 inches per day, their branches are getting long too. The clone is doing very well now with, there is lots of new growth on her. I really hope its not mildew on my indoor plants. well I guess you will all see in the pics that I take tommorow. One question (IMPORTANT): When exactly is it that I should count it as my plants are getting light? when they are in direct sunlight, or when the sun comes up?

Yay.... I just got the netting that I need to finish the area around my plants, so now I won't have such a night light problem from the indoor lights... I might as well go take pics of the indoor because I really want answers about my powdery mildew question...

well, there they are take a look, what do you think? Do you know what causes the new growth on that little one to be soo taco like? I know they need a little more humidity since they are clones... and I am trying, it just gets too hot and dry out/in there, any ideas? The ones in the 5 gals and the 12" are clones, the ones in the half gals are seedlings. I plan to start to flower them all in about 25 days. I am thinking about transplanting the largest clone into a 5 gal pot. I keep trying to figure out how to hang the fluorescents, but it just isn't working out so far (no where to hang them from). I just fixed an air intake problem, so cooler air should be circulating better, fixed a bunch of light leak problems, next I will work on exhaust humidity and adjusting the lighting. Does anyone have any ideas about how to get the best lighting set up with the lights and plants that I have? 1 1000w HPS, 4 4 foot fluorescent tubes in two ballasts, the seedlings will be transplanted into 5 gals in about 15 days.
I am going to dose everything indoors tomorrow with superthrive, hopefully that helps. I have to wait about three or four more hours for the sun to come up so I can take new pics of the outdoor... and then after I do, I am going to be changing the set up.... so I will have to take more pics after that... lol. How much would it cost for a good CO2 system for my indoor.... always so full of questions.... no one quick to answer :P.... happy smokin
