Thought I would start up my first grow journal, with budget and under small conditions.

Much more data around my DIY/NFT system, can be found here;

Budget DIY Hydroponics/NFT

Anyways, the strain list;

2 x Sand Storm regular from Cannabiogen

2 x Critical Kush Fem from Barneys Farm, prize from Killabeez-seedbank

2 x Muse Fem from R-Kiem

2 x Super Skunk aka (Special Skunk) Fem from Bulk Seed Bank

1 x Crocketts Dawg regular from Crocketts Family Farms

1 x Northern Lights x Chronic Fem from a Spanish Breeder via MidWeekSong(freebie)

Seeds were germinated on the 15 of March and put in the DIY NFT system on the 21st of March. Sadly my camera broke so I didnt get a chance to take any pictures before April 5, 14 days in the system, which you can see here.

Pic 18.jpg Since last week some changes have been made, removed one the Super Skunks, hence it simpy wasnt performing as it should.

Moved the Northern Lights x Chronic to a better location, and added an extra passive intake to the closet and finally added new lights in a Cooltube setup, 100 watt HPS and 150 watt HPS, which will run for another 45 days, 14 days more in veg. and then 30 days in flower before changing lights again to a 2 x 250 watt HPS setup for the final flowering period around 30-40 days.

Maybe small lights, but I had them from previous years, plus a kilowatt costs 40 cents in these parts, at the moment using 8 kilowatts a day with 20 hours of light.

Here are some pictures from this evening April 12, 21 days in veg. for most of them, the 2 Sand Storm and the NL x Chronic are germinated a week later, so they are at 14 days.

Plants in the system are placed in the following way;

From the left in pipe 1 closest to the doors, we have Sand Storm, Super Skunk, Muse, Crocketts Dawg, Critical Kush

From the left in pipe 2, we have Northern Lights x Chronic, Sand Storm, Muse, blank space, Critical Kush.

So far its looking decent I think, some are lacking a bit behind, but in general doing well.

Final note, the Crocketts Dawg is by far the most indica dom. strain I have grown to date, plus the smell already is down right nice.

The temperature peaks at 23,0 degrees celcius at the monent, which I dont quite like, hence from 24 degrees and up there are bigger chances of issues in the reservoir. But I keep it 22,5 degress Celcius and a bit below with a small chiller, plus I add a ½ liter frozen waterbottle each morning before leaving the house.

Had I been at bit more attentive and maybe less stoned8), I would have added a second reservoir under the closet, because then the total body of water would be around 65 liters/16,88 gallons instead of 35-37 liters, which would be easier to hold the temperature with...

You are going to be hitting that res every 3 days or so soon, they start going through shit fast when they get a few inches taller.
With that many mouths to feed....
I do an ebb and flow ntf hybrid system.

Yes they will soon start to eat like there´s no tomorrow. I changed my mind about the veg. period, because they actually grow even better than expected, gotta love the power of hydroponics. So flowering begins Friday 19 of April at 4 weeks of veg. I sadly have a sneaky suspicion that the Crocketts Dawg is a male plus 1 Special Skunk has alread been removed and a Sand Storm will properly also follow due to lack of growth, hopefully I will end up with 6-7 females.

Pictures come friday...

They veg for quite a while still after flipping, I did a run with like 5-day rooted clones and they were all 3 feet tall by the time I was done. I don't lay off the Nitrogen feed until it stops pushing for the sky.

Yes they do, back in the day with my AeroFlo setup, I put the rooted clones to flower straight away and ended up like you also do, at 3-3,5 feet...big plants big buds, sad that electricity is so damn expensive here, I miss my 600 watters...

No, I count from the day they were put in the system, which was March 21, they were as you mention put to germinate on the 15 of March, meaning that come friday in my mind they are at veg. day 29.

How can you only be a veg. day 14 mate, just curios...

Me too mate.

So picture update, day 28 today, so 12/12 flip has begun. Since last time the EC has now been set to 1.3, and one of the Sand Storms has been removed, was simply been grown over by the Muse next to it. I have a sneaky suspision that the Crocketts Dawg might be a male, but hopefully I am wrong, time will tell.
