Increasing bud size: Spray Nutes On Them?

My nutes say to mist with a weak nute solution "occasionally" but they don't bother to define the word occasionally. Think the time to do it would be right before lights out. That way the liquid on the leaves dont turn into a magnifying glass and burn them. Now on new clones its imperative to mist often because the leaves is the only feeding mechanism available to the plant since it don't have any Roots. Sorta like Alex Hayley.

just because your nutes say you can foliar feed, doesn't mean you can foliar feed mj plants. most fertilizers are meant for flowers/vegetables/fruits. mold isn't the only problem that foliar feeding can cause, it will also make your buds taste like shit unless you know exactly what you're doing. that's why people flush their plants with plain water a week prior to harvesting

WRONG!!!!! spraying buds past even the second week of development is just begging for bud rot. You can only foliar feed in the veg stage cause you can't feed a seedling for it will burn and you can't spray a flowering girl unless you got a mother that you keep alive at all times.

In fact I just did it to one bud to see what happens the actual pods did swell a small amount, but it wasn't enough to justify the loss of that delicious frost THC that covered the little leaves right bellow the flower either.

Why foliar feed when it's less risky to regularly feed to the roots?

I know from first hand experience to not spray clones with anything nute based. It killed half of my batch of clones, and the nute bottle said it'd be okay... not for marijuana. I really don't recommend foliar feeding at any stage... you're just begging to run into problems and the outcome of doing foliar feeding correctly isn't worth the risk. A healthy and tasty plant doesn't need foliar feeding. Get some other suppliments instead like Bud Blood, thats what I've found helpful.

However I do agree that misting the plants with water has an amazing effect at all stages of life. I wish I had a mister :-(

Why not water? You can mist anything with good clean water while they're sleeping from what I've heard. What harmful things come from spraying your buds with water? Besides the obvious mold... that can be controlled.

I just sprayed a bud and lost all that yummy frost THC that forms one the calaxys and small leaves under the flowers.

as i said before, i suggest NEVER misting your plants even with water. it drains the nitrogen out of the leaves and the water droplets act like tiny magnifying glasses and create "hot spots"
