im in the flowering stage and i have a 3ft plant. it has nice white hairs but i feel it needs more light lower but cant get it because the big leaves is it back to cut the big leaves off???

Do not remove the fan leaves unless they are dead. They produce the energy the plant uses to grow. On mine I cut off the branches of the bottem two nodes because they were way behind the rest of the branches. That way, the plant can use the energy it would have used for the removed branches to grow the remaining branches.
On a side note... I cloned the already budding branches I removed, and now have 6 new ROOTED clones growing for next time.
