In progress- Great growth, 2x4 grow

Just wanted to show what I had going on. Currently I'm running a 2x4 with all seeds from Greenpoint. Right now I just hit week 5 of veg since they popped. I have 8 plants

Strains are:
Bridezilla
Rogue OG Kush
Gorilla Glue #4

They look great so far. Im working on an all water run from start to finish. And I MAY top dress with some dry amendments from "Down to earth" but I already have some amendments at the bottom of the pots for when they hit flower so there may be no need. I'll only top dress if they start to show signs of Deficiencies . I topped them all while short because I don't want them growing too tall. I'm h to yield at lease an HP to a pound. 2 OZs per plant in this tent would be love.

I've been getting a Lotta help from you guys and also watching YouTube videos from Matt aka Mr Cannucks who has awesome all water grows as well.

I'm experimenting with some things as well. I'm watering half the plants with molasses water from start to finish, and the other half is only gonna be only fed molasses in flower. I will see how much an impact it makes. I also topped dressed half of them with ewc in the beginning of veg and the ewc half seems to have better growth but it could also be genetics. The ewc & molasses side are the 4 on the right.

My soil is composed of
50/50 FFOF and Happy Frog
Added per lite
added EWC
And Super soil microbe concentrate thats mixed into the bottom 1/3 of the pots.

Right now I'm doing some LST. The reason they are all small for week 5 is because I had them under a 100W HLG LED during the first 4 weeks and switched them to a 320W HLG a week ago and they began to explode more. The lst and topping has worked wonders tho.

What do you all think?

I think I wanna swifch to autos next because I just hate how long it takes to grow non auto seeds.

They look healthy but really small for 5 weeks. That slow growth doesn't look like it’s from low light. They’re nice and short. Something else slowed them down. What temps were you running before the light change to 320w.
How much longer are you going to veg? It It were me I’d flip to 12/12, like today. 8 topped plants in a 2x4, it is going to be a jungle in there very soon, especially with that 320

if you get a gram per actual light output you’re doing well. As for Autos, don’t believe the breeders times.

looks like they would like some more water to me, with that type of light and soil mixture you will have a hard time overwatering and sometimes a hard time underwatering
stick your finger in the top soil when it turns that color. does it feel moist and do you think u should be watering maybe a little more?

they all look healthy and full of vigor!

In my experience autos are a waste of time. get one now and throw it in the corner of your room or something in your veg room and you can experience it. Some strains are nice but IMO I'd rather grow some straight CBD bud to mix as I please than grow autos indoors. Autos are good for beating the humidity season outdoors by planting early and flowering in the dry season for where I am

regulars for me beats the shit out of that auto weed

I just watered them today and i may flip soon. I'm gonna do some major defoliation and lollipoping around week 3 of flower so it doesn't get too cramped. The slow growth may have from me topping early. But honestly I think it's from the light. Splitting 100W over 8 plants in a 3x3 you're looking at 12.5W per plant in an area that's only getting 11W per Sq foot. which basically is kinda like a CFL per plant. So the growth kinda makes sense to me. As soon as I switched them to the 320 they started to grow.

OH I Actually just remembered. Yeah they did get stunted down because I had to keep them in their starter pots for two weeks due to inspections at my house so I didn't wanna transplant them and have to move a Lotta plants around. By the time I transplanted they were pretty much rootbound in the starter pots but recovered slowly when transplanted. So yeah that's why they are smaller. Then two weeks after transplant I topped them.

Also my humidity is in the mid 40s so that may be a factor. I have a humidifier but it's a smaller one and it doesn't raise the humidity in the room much. And I don't wanna put it inside the tent itself and risk shorting my light or sockets out from moisture. Like I could but a humidity controller in there I guess and use that so that it can turn it off once humidity reaches optimal temps. But I just don't know if I should Risk cold steam on my lamps

And I don't have an AC And it's nearing winter so I Crack a window. So temps can kinda fluctuate between 72-83F

Holy crap, 8 plants in a 2 x 4, and in such big pots, nuts, LoL! Seriously, I could never get more than 2 plants in 4 gallon pots in that size tent. Oh sure you can do 6, 8, or whatever you want but if even half the plants you have growing in there grow into what I know a few of those GP strains usually grow to, you will not have enough space in there to fully flower all those plants without having to constantly worry about one or more of them getting mold or mildew because the overall airflow throughout the canopy will always be that restricted.

Pots aren't that big they're only gallons and if they get two large I have a separate 3x3 veg tent I'm currently not using. I'm gonna flip to flower in a week or so but Two of those Plants will.actually be mothers and are going back in the 3x3 when u flip. So really I will only be flowering 6 in the 2x4 and then I'll be cloning in the 3x3

My experience is its hard to beat a normal non fem seed. Sure you have to monitor for males, but seems like the weed is better.

I just can't risk getting too many males,in such a small place. The amount of plants I can grow in the space is already limited. If I end up with 50% males then I feel like it's not worth growing for such a small harvest and that's a Lotta wasted time.

If I had a large grow i would maybe risk it.

Take some clone of each plant for a pheno hunt.
then use them as mother .clone would need 2 week max of veg to get 2 time bigger then what u have now .
Seed take for ever to take off.

if you think about it regs work out perfect.. you flip when the plants are getting too big, half of them get thrown out while the other half doubles in size filling out the full tent!

and yes from seed takes a bit longer than from clone

I mean yeah but also the plants could be using that extra energy during veg to grow instead of wasting them on plants thats gonna get chopped.

Yeah I'm gonna grab a cloning tray in.a few days to get some clones before I flip
