my plants are just starting to lean over due to the weight of the flowers , was thinking its best to prop them up with some bamboo soon than later , is there a certain way to do tis so not to harm my plant ????IMG-20120105-00008.jpg

those sticks would be great to hold the whole plant, also need some sturdy-twist to hold branches.

yeah the bamboo sticks work good i use the 4 ft long ones and sometimes there too short with the sativas but still work good i use the little zip ties its best to do it after the stretch early on but you can still do it

Bamboo is good but the stuff I get is pretty light weight and doesn't even provide that great of support for a big branch. Try tying back to the main branch if its thick enough to support. All my pots actually already have holes drilled all around the rim for training and tying down purposes. I would use string or something, and tie to the opposite side of the pot.

The bamboo will hold, i use the fuzzy little pipe cleaners from the dollar store, they are colorful so i can spot them in the jungle of green too if i need to readjust or move it

Yes, I would avoid sticking anything into the soil which may disrupt the roots. I use soft pots, so I just punch a hole in the plastic and feed some string through it. If you're using hard plastic pots, just drill a small hole at the top of your container instead. Simply tie the string around the stem of your plant to sturdy the plant.

I use pipe cleaners too. Already super cheap but you can get 2 or 3 ties from each one making em last forever.
similar to pipe cleaners I love these, you can cut them to length. Make sure to cut them long so you can re-use them easy. About 4 bucks a pack at hydro store prices. 3 packs did about 10 15 gallon pots for me, but I tie alot of stuff. Probably will need to use more toward the end of flower.

I have stuck steaks into the dirt when the plants were in there and have never noticed the plant stressing over it at all! I mean there are just some things you don't plan for and have to take a chance! If ya don't want to do that then I guess you could duct tape a support stick to the side? JK no if you don't plan on moving your ladies around then use the Piping on your tent to tie to? Ive seen people do that before. I just don't have time for that shit, throw a stick in the drit and tie the plant to it. I use butchers twine and leave some slack in the knot around plant so it can grow.
