so i was stoned thinking anyone know if you can put a pot in the treetops and a plant will grow without any attention. is there anyway you can do this wihtout feeding them or doing onece a month

this thought had occurred to me a few years back
then i get to reading here, and see it wasn't that original idea, a few have tried it
never saw a grow log or pics though
watering would probably be the toughest part, have to either setup some kind of capture/flow for rainwater or water occasionally by 'hand'
a large pot with a super soil could take care of the feeding issue

I have also thought about this..Like growone said, The toughest part would be watering

I have also thought of a way to deal with this problem if you hand feed, you can simply
rig up a pully line that you can rap to a tree w/ a nail.
That way you can simply lower it, feed and pull the line to raise it back up into the trees..

Hope this helps to refine your idea.

my 1st was in a tree stand 20ft up (YEARS AGO), i only hand watered once during a real dry spell in a 5 gal bucket with MG, still got a little over a o DRY

just to keep the thought going, there is a reason why i won't be trying no 'tree growing' this year
been growing nl#5 inside this winter, smell is next to zero
toss out some clones outdoors late(say june/july), get mature plants maybe 18 inches tall
no one is going to find these in small numbers, so the tree idea has been put on the back burner

so could you use a big plastic storage bin for say with some holes drilled in the bottom. use some super soil and hope to hell it rains? do you think there would be enough nutriants to support the plant in a bigger bucket?. also what kind of rain hold/water setup could be rigged up any suggestions i want to give it a try and see what happens

super soils work for the full grow, they're described over in the organics section
i make a very simple soil mix with bone meal(6-9-0) which is pretty close to a super soil itself, minimal feeding and good results
water is going to be a bitch, i think you'll have to hope for rain
i'd think you'd need a water bucket in addition to the plant pot, with maybe a plastic collar to increase rain capture
going to need a timer to water, batteries i guess
if you don't mind risking life and limb climbing some monster tree
and i'd also think it needs to be a tree that will still need to be green at harvest time, pine trees would probably be best
if you do this(and live) please post pics

im only 1/2 way through it myself at this point, lol, its a very long thread. i'll let you know if i ever get to the end of it.:bigjoint:
yeah, i've reading through it too
just to give the readers digest version for anyone reading this thread
this thread has this guy scaling a 75 foot pine tree, looks like about every day
sliced his foot once, broke a branch another time and had a plant plummet 75 feet to the ground
if Tarzan was to grow weed, this is how he would do it - insane!
