That can work both ways....I have just as much fun in a boat with weed and not catching fish as I do without weed while the bite's on! I much prefer both at once - nothing better than fighting a salmon while you're baked!

It's the norm here....I always have weed on the boat - no alcohol tho. Weed makes the conversations with the sea lions more interesting....lol!
I do both. I have never been skunked fishing off of this island. Lots of ling cod, snapper, and rockfish if the salmon aren't biting.
We have the RCMP and federal Fisheries here - never had an issue. I don't think I've been stopped by them in over 20 years- it's a big coast and there are very few patrol boats.
