im really tired of clubs not tellin me ANYTHING over the phone

why the hell do they even have a phone?
weedtracker is not working, so i couldnt check their menu. so i call and ask politely if i can get the number of strains they have in today(sometimes they run out). i have to drive like 30 minutes to get there, so i like to know im not wasting my time beforehand.

the guy wouldnt tell me anything at all. i understand theyre afraid of cops and all that crap. but wtf is a cop going to do with that info? knowing the number of strains this place has is not grounds for a warrant. and that number will be totally different tomorrow!

so why the FUCK do they not tell u anything over the phone? but they can post their menu everywhere on the internet for all to see... it makes no sense

i think its a game they play to get you in there personally. i could understand if you were asking prices on QP's Hp's etc. but just asking which strains they have isnt anything that can really be used against them...i mean LE already knows they are a marijuana dispensary so i dont think talking about different strains will shock them and cause them to raid them...

im not going to any of the clubs. they are the black market of medical marijuana...highest prices, worst service.

Maybe you should explain the situation.... You live far away, you understand they can't give you any info, but if they can update their weedmaps/tracker/finder, it would be stupendous...

well they update it everyday. the problem was that weedtracker was down or something and it wouldnt come up. the internet like couldnt find the site haha

You have to look at it from their point of view. if you are asking a question like " how many strains you got today " seems pretty simple you wouldnt get an answer. i wouldn't answer your question either. its all about HOW you ask the question, then you mite get an answer you are looking for. Never ask a question which will put them into a bind of having to answer with a total amount of anything. Feds then can think.... Well today is a good day to bust them they have 32 strains in stock. When the twitter feed from HS-Oakland or SJ isnt up to date i just call and they answer all my questions. I phrase the question like this " your twitter feed isnt up to date i was wondering do you have any ___ in stock today " and they answer yes or no. Phone call is finished now. Im not asking them to tell me which ones they have in stock or how much. so im not baiting them into saying anything. this is how i was instructed to talk to them when calling over the phone by someone who works at HS-Oakland. Hope this helps you a little

i told the guy weedtracker wasnt working so i cant see the menu. i even told him i didnt care if it was a rough estimate. i just didnt wana waste my time if they only had 2 strains left.

you do bring up a good point. the only way i was told about how to ask questions over the phone was the same thing happened to me. When i drove up to Oakland while checking in i asked pretty much the same thing you said in the first post and thats how i was told how to ask the questions. but then again you could have got a total Idiot on the phone. BTW.... what place did you have the issue?

i still say its to get you to show up to the club because if they can get you to: drive down to the club and wait in line then theres a good chance you'll buy at least a gram of something. which is what they want...more business.

if they dont tell you what they have you have to go down there and if its not in stock they'll try and turn you on to another strain.

I have been all around the sacramento area trying 2 find the friendliest, most professional collective. One that keeps its shelves stocked with real QUALITY meds at pretty unbeatable prices. Will they help save me a costly trip by telling me whether they have a certain strain or a couple that I wanted 2 check out? How much are they selling any perticular 8th-ounce? Ask about daily specials and get STRAIGHT FORWARD answers to all these crucial questions!
I have never had a bad experience with "GRASS", a club on 10th street here in sacramento, 2014 10th st. to b exact. This is a clear LEADER in sacramento on all levels. Always friendly, highly professional, and most of all they dont act like some street level "pusher" claiming they cant help their patients over the phone (as if they are already doing something wrong). Give these guys a try, (916)930-0939. Sorry 2 hear about your dealings with these lousy co-ops, its a real shame! Shame on them!

actually i went to another place thats like 2 miles from my house. for my first time deal, i got 2.5g of stinky goodness for 20 bucks

good to hear you got something for your first time visit. my first time at harbor side in San Jose. i told them i was a first timer and asked do i get anything the bud tender told me " so you have the HS app on your phone? " i said "yes" he then said " well let me see it " i told him " we arnt allowed to have phones in here, its part of the rules " he said oh yeah thats right " i asked so do i get anything he said " no " HAHAHA i was like WTF!?! why did he even ask about the app....

when i went to that new place, i asked them about referrals because my cousin referred me. he said the person has to be with me. i had an argument with the guy about it haha.

i think its stupid they have to be with u. like im going to make up a name? what r they chances that name is a patient in their records? why would i give it to some random person? obviously my cousin has been there before because hes in their records. DUH!
 
Fortunately, I live in LA and there's a weed shop walk-able distance both from my home and office.

But my guess for why they did not want to answer that over the phone, to add onto the "they want you to go to the club" reason, is because is they do not want to waste their time with enthusiasts over the phone that are gonna ask more than they buy --not to say you are one, but that might be why.
