I'm intolerant of intolerant people - does that make me a hypocrite?

Short answer - yes it does. So I'm a hypocrite. Because there isn't a single sex, race, religion, colour, texture, etc of people that I can ever lump into a group and say "I don't like those types of people".

Except for the intolerant. If you have ever protested an abortion clinic, a gay marriage, written that "such and such" type of persons are "taking all the jobs", or that you want to take the rights away from a certain group of people - just because...well then - I DON'T LIKE YOU.

There - I said it.

I am intolerant of the intolerant. I wonder if there's some kind of support group???

Yeah that's a good thing.

I can't believe the shit in Europe sometimes. Being a soccer fan I always keep
up on the news. In Italy this past year the fans were rocking swastikas and anti Jewish banners at the games, and throwing bananas and making monkey sounds at the black players. Freaking nuts.

Just a few days ago a bunch of German fans showed up at the Germany vs Ghana World Cup match with their faces painted all black and t shirts that said GHANA on 'em.

Then another dude ran onto the field during a game with swastikas all over his headband.

Fucking crazy bastards.

What. The. Fuck.

Really? Why? I thought they all just really liked soccer "football".

That's unfortunate. It's one thing to be supportive of a team. It's another thing to start a fucking race-war over A GAME!!! It's only a game...

Hypocricy can be seen as a form of devil's advocacy... in this sense, we can be a demonstration (mirror) of someone else's contradictory behavior in order to make our point.

However, this unto itself is a form of shadow boxing based in our own moral superiority, (aka, judgement/condemnation) as it also propagates the fear-based mentality (in this case, intolerance) that one is attempting to finger.

We must be the demonstration of love in others' lives in order to convey the message that this form of "teaching" attempts, rather than use this eye for an eye tactic.

Or? Fuck 'em. The choice is in each of our hands. But when we embody the dismissive stance, we strengthen that which we initially attempted to reject.

I really wish I could be more like that...but I don't know if I have it in me...

Have you ever seen the documentary "the most hated family in America"?

I wish I could understand these people, and feel anything for them but anger. But I can't. I wish they were not around to hurt people the way they do.

I'm not going to go picketing at their funerals or anything...but I just flat out DO NOT like them. I think they're mean, and I hate mean people.
