Hi every1. Im currently 13 day in to my first grow ( check my other thread ) and have planted my clones in 7.5 liter pots. Im already seeing the first roots at the bottom of the pots and wanted to know how long to leave it before i repot to a 15 liter. i mean i dont want to take them out and have everything fall apart. i was thinking to repot at around 21 days wich will be a week before i put them into flower.

If any1 could give me any info on how this is done, or should i just keep them in the original pots and butcher the pots up ( make holes ) and place them into larger ones. I dont want to cause any unnecessary stress.

Kindest regards danny....

I have used those size pots all thru my grow before i came to this wonderful site and had no problem so its up to you. Bigger is better if you have the space for it. The way i do it is i put my hand around the base of the plant at the dirt level to hold it turn the pot upside down and squeeze the pot a bit to loosen it up and then when it come out turn it right side up into the new pot and add dirt around it.

i let them dry out and they come out of the old pot easy .they will be fine in there for 2 more weeks no problem, and transplanting a week before flower is perfect.

A lot of growers (myself included) like to repot several times into slightly bigger pots, each time. Always keeping the roots "compact" but just short of what you might call rootbound. A small root system in a big pot tends to "run wild" and reach the boundery edges real quickly, leaving lots of "sparsely populated" soil in the "middle". Your plants will be fine, they can fill in "The Middle".

Oh thanks for all the help peep's.

The only other thing is, i have put in terracotta pellets to keep the soil air-rated. i.e 1.5 inch at the bottom of the pot followed by 2 inch coco mix then another 1 inch of the balls followed by 2.5 inch coco. When i come to turn the pot out, if i loose the pellets and the root system is shown, will this harm the plant if i pot it with the loss of the pellets in to the bigger pot..... ( bit long winded i know, but i'm a geek and like to know everything )...

And thank's again every1. Its very much appreciated
