well..after careful consideration..Ive decided to fianlly feed my week old(+ - a few days) ak48 seedlings..the whole thing is they are in coco coir/perlite...

tyhe whole thing is if they were in soil, theyd already be getting trace nutrients from the soil iteself, but in coco coir, the medium is completely barren.....Ive read of growers wetting it with a quarter strnght nute solution BEFORE the seeds even make it to the cups....

After alot of reading,I feel like I havew to give them just a tiny amoutn,to boost their vegging....Ive found even in the past, when I gre bagseeds...that every time I started the seeds in coco coir, the plants just didnt grow as fast and profusely..the leaves never got too big like most seedlings Ive seen...and this has happened to ALL my seedlings that I never fed.....they even have a yellwoish tinge to them, not as dark green or healthy as most normal seedlings...

my ph is 6.0,using tap water with superthrive right now..but i need some help!!!

shoulkd i feed with :

1.alaska fish fert,& maxicrop liquid seaweed (SOIL DRENCH)

2.maxicrop seaweed( FOLAIR FEED)

or any combo of the 2..whats my besty bet for my young seedlings??ofcourse the amnout will be around 25% or less...just enought ot goive them a little nitrogen boost...

id put some weak fish ferts in water and give a little feed of that...

also your waters ph might not be that high but do you let it sit anyway it helps discipate shit the plant doesnt like or is sensitive too ie chlorine and fluride some plants really dont like that shit :)

id just put weak ferts in some water and give them a tiny bit if i thought it would help.

may neednutes may also not be liking the water. a little fish fert shouldnt hurt tho

since they're still pretty young seedlings, I believe that foliar feeding would not be the most efficient way to feed them. Not only is there tiny surface area for the nutrients to go into the leaves, but they are pretty young and even if diluted, maybe a little too strong. I would personally go with your first idea of soil drenching. This is not only more efficient as the roots can absorb the nutrients and establish a strong root system.

Your water ph sounds good and i've never used superthrive before, but I've heard great stuff about it! Good luck on your grow.

Heres what I've always done, and has never failed.

1/4 strength once rooting is established (usually when at least 4-5 leaves are formed)
1/2 strength when 2 or more nodes form (usually in week 2-3)

No Foliar feeding on seedlings EVER - they can't take it (IMO)

thnks guys..appreciate dat niggaz..i guess ima use TINY amounts of both...and feeding them the next time I water..the way I see it a few more days couldnt hurt..and let me judge if they really need nutes or not......as for the water..yeah my tap is REALLY bad..i live in a major city on the coast..so i guess myt ppm must be high..and my ph is 8.5+!!!

I just add 2 drops of anitclhorine drops per gallon, and let it sit for a day..then add my nutes, and ph....sounds good?so would it be wise to feed them?theyr about a week old+....

we just said.

dont use too much.

id see if letting the water sit helped them first :) but thats just me.

a small amount shouldnt hurt specially if it does need it. you should only need one or the other tho.

Don't read everything on the bottles  wrong info should use half the recommended dosage and find a medium that you and your plants are comfortable with

Make sure to check your PH AFTER you add nutes.

They will drop your PH

ok..so i already addeed a quarter capful of the maxicrop..the reccomnded dose is one capful,so i put around 25%..considering the caps are BIG...did i put too many or am i fine..the thing i like about liquid seaweed is is mostly monerals and hormones..and not actual n=p=k....its like 05-1.0-1.0..very low...cant wait to see how they react.,..
