I'm considering moving the Philippines

about 40 mi off the coast of California roughly between Santa Barbara and the Bay Area. There are numerous advantages to this project and I've written to Donald Trump about it. He is on board and will order the US Navy to begin preparations for towing the islands once he is President. There is big money to be made people; the possibilities are endless.

Dude, that would solve a lot of problems. But there are a lot of islands. Obama has weakened our military so hard that I doubt we can move them all. Reagan could have done it but not this guy.

I have an idea. Take some of the smaller ones and put them where the Spratlys are. Fuck you China! Then make it a safe zone for Middle Eastern refugees. Nobody can radicalize them way out there - even if they do, it will be China's problem.

Exactly UB, I like the cut of your jib, you think strategically. There are some 7000 islands in the PI, we take the big fuckers, leave all the tiny ones scattered about and turn the South China Sea into a ghetto, hell even arrange them so from space they spell "Fuck you China". Some of the tiny ones we can auction off to the wealthy 1% to help fund the whole thing. I have a great feeling about this project.

As an added benefit @ODanksta won't have to move there, they'll come to him.

Can you move a town of 5000 from an eastern state and deposit in Colorado? In the middle of the night, quietly, as to not alarm the elderly? I'll explain it to them in the morning at the town hall...if they don't approve they can move their part back whenever their SS checks come.
Sorry, we don't have that technology yet, we'd have to plunk it down on something else. It's much easier to move stuff off shore

Yes, but we are talking about primo islands here. Fuck the 1%. We cannot allow proletariat rabble to buy one. We want the .01% - where the real money is.

It will have it all. Sunlight. Warm weather. Golf. Top-tier accommodations. Access to cheap and exploitable labor. A fuzzy legal framework that will allow the super rich to fully realize their potential. Like Leopold and Loeb.

This is thread is wrong. You guys aren't thinking about some of the members involved here and how something like this affects them. You need to make China think it was their idea. That way they supply the billion workers needed to actually move the islands.
