If your butane/ ethanol mix never boils is that bad?

My first extraction never seemed to boil. I winterized with ethanol and when I reduced it on the hot plate in my Pyrex, it never boiled, just reduced. Does it matter?

It won't boil unless you have it over about 173F at sea level. It doesn't matter, as long as you remove it.
