Lol I guess we thought the same thing. Have you seen what Cree they are using? I spoke with Supra and asked him what bin their using because they posted it on their site and Supra said they are using very low bin like there 11 bins behind lol
Just looked.

XPE2's
Blue: is the lowest bin of blue...Plus it's between 465-485nm.
White: Top bin(But the least amount used)
Red: Second lowest bin
XPE
Photo red: Top bin(of only 2)

I made a CXB3590 6500k 72v DD bin @500ma dimmed to around 200ma but at 500ma it's 69-70% efficient

The tent on the left is running 8 cobs 186watts from the wall dimmed and the one on the right is 5 cob panel running 59watts dimmed

Please stop please are you trying to sabotage people? Those lights are super junk lol. I'm not trying to be mean but damn!! Every light you found is a no go you might as well send me free money lol. Just take the time and read up about Cree and Vero cobs and diy info you'll be doing yourself a favor. I didn't do my research and got burned by Mars Hydro. You don't need to make the same mistake.

I think you're on to something with the sabotage bit. He's been told multiple times what to stay away from but keeps posting junk. Maybe he sells this junk and hopes people see it and buys it.
That or he's not even old enough to be on these forms and is hoping to find a light he can get with his allowance

The problem is some of us don't have the money or experience to be making led lights. Me for instants I have £100 to spend on a light and only grow for my self so can't justify a couple hundred pounds for a light. Any suggestions would be great I have seen a tent and hps for around £130 that I can stretch to.

Your better off HPS if you cant afford quality LEDs.
Don't waste your time with the cheapstuff.
Cheap means junk 9out10 times in this market.
I rec you try a Vero18 4000K fixture to get your feet wet and see for yourself what a quality COB can do.

Hi, i have bought 6 x cxb3590 36v 3500k CD, ideal holders and drivers.

I just noticed you can buy ideal connecter 50-2300an. Do i have to buy them or am i ok with just the holders?
cheers

The suggestions to go with HPS are good but I wouldn't bother with anything smaller than 600W if I were to do a grow. Smaller sizes are not efficient. You just can't really get into LED for cheap. I've killed perfectly healthy plants in two days with cheap chinese stuff. I couldn't tell they were sick because the leaves were bronze LOL.
For 100, you might be able to do a pair of COB's as recommended in this thread but you are going to have to build it yourself and spend a lot of time reading. I would say try not to ask stupid questions but I've thrown so many out there and am still somewhat tolerated around here. I jumped into it about 6 weeks ago and still learning every day. Currently keeping my garden starts alive under CFL's. Hoping to have something completed "enough" to use by tomorrow.

I am looking to buy a LED light for veg to replace my 400w MH, I need something that will produce the same results or better, as far as growth. looking to spend $250 max.
I have looked around myself, Apollo makes a light that fits my price range but just wondering if there is anything better for around the same price.

Not looking to make my own "yet"

Is there anything else you can recommend? even if it requires two or three fixtures that wouldn't exceed $300 and possibly something listed on a well known website without a 1-3 week wait time. I have never heard of this company and no one carry's their product, and that wait time is just a deal breaker.

my 400w MH is broken I need a replacement quickly, I only wish to go LED for a more efficient light and less heat, so really I just need this fixture to be cheap, use less or the same electricity as my 400w and be able to produce the same results as far as growth. I can run a 400w with no cooling but it does get warm, so I'm assuming whatever LED fixture I get will run much cooler.

I plan to eventually buy a high end LED light or build my own, but for now I just need something cheap that can do the job. Does not need to be top of the line, yet. Thanks for any help/replys.
