Hey Cuddles n Bubbles, what did them Maxis run you, if you don't mind me asking? Did they upgrade to CXB's?Top-bin? MeanWell?
Are those vents 4" or 6"? Tell me the details if you would. I rather ask a person that has one in his hands. First thing I noticed was build quality, specially cuz I directly compared it to another comparable light. Similiar in many ways as far as lens array & design. Both high-end comp.
Hope you like them, congrats!

The build quality is great. They are top bin cxb3590's running on meanwells. 6" ducts and totally dimmable.

They cost me $2950 shipped for both.

I'm leaning towards mounting a 730nm deep red bulb in the center vacant spot on each maxi.

Don't have them hanging yet as I'm waiting for my Sun Grips but here they are filling my 4x4(ish) scrogs on the floor in my tent. Think they will work great in there.

Of course I'll give a grow journal and let people see first hand. Might be a few weeks till I really start but gonna be running some Big Worm Space Wookie, Red Eyed Locktite, and Trichome Jungle Sour Mandarina.

I need a little advice. I`ve got grow tent 5x10 ! now I have 6x8 cxb3590 3500k 80cri cd bin with glass lenses, hlg320h-1050b.
So I need advise. should it work on the maximum power. or I should put less power there? what you think?
next question is that I`ve need to make delivery from Jerry kingbrite. And I can spend some more money there.
His offer cxb3590 3000k 90cri bd bin 36,5$. So what you think, is it justify, if I`ll take some for mixing with 3500K and 4000K 80cri? or it`s wasting of money.

I don`t mean, that I will only add 3000K. I am thinking, to change some 3500 k 80cri on 3000 k 90cri. and than I`ve got Idea to make bigger grow room with that 3500k. But it`s only about future....
thnx for help(

Slow grow- you will need less than 250 real watts of Cree to blow away that Vipar.
Just to clarify, are you saying 250 total watts of cree to blow away dual PAR600 ViparSpectra units?

I ask because if so, I'd be looking at around $720 for a pair of T2-2100 units. That might be do-able on my end however if your saying I'd need a total of 500 total cree based watts to match my two vipar units, I've got a long way to go.

Max power for the circuit is about 36W per COB and you've got 48 COBs in 50 square feet so I wouldn't flower at less than that.

I'd be inclined to keep the COBs at a uniform color like 3500K in the tent. I have some 3000K 90CRI but haven't used them enough to give an opinion.

I saw this before I saw your other post stating the size tent you had. The 2 Vipars aren't even enough for that tent. So I would say in the end you need over 1000 watts of light for that tent. But I would still get rid of those Vipars because they are only 275 watts of subpar lighting.

ViparSpectra p600, 275 total wattage draw. At 25% efficiency that equals 69 par watts.

Tasty led at 50%efficency at 275 total watts equals 138 par watts.

You get x2 the amount of photon efficiency for the same power expended.

More par watts equals more buds, bottom line.

When you look at cost, you will grow nearly twice as much hard bud for the same cost to produce.

Hey guys, what do you think if Tasty LED's offerings: http://www.tastyled.com/

I'm currently running a set of ViparSpectra PAR600s but I'd like to shift to a cree based setup at some point but I don't want to build my own.
Tastys will blow away your viper spectras & finally give you some colas worth being proud of. No offense man. Really.

I'm an Amare guy myself. But any decent white or enhanced white is definitely the way to grow.
I saw your grow w/ the vipers. It looks like my grow when I used the Hydroponics Hut. Just not right.

Got myself 4 Cree CXB3590's this morning.
I want to switch over from LED to LED. I have 2 MARS2 400's and not crazy about them, so replacing them with the full spec.
I figure I need 8 at 50 watts each to get the coverage I want(3x3 tent). That will take a few paychecks. Started today with these 4. Will get 4 more next payday, then work on drivers.

So...
Can I mix colors? I mean can 3500K spectrum run on the same driver as a 4000K or higher?
I am going to run 2 drivers in the final build.
Am thinking 3500K for all of them if they can not be mixed or a mix of say 5 or 6 3500K and 2 or 3 higher(bluer)???

Are you in a tent or small room? If so, I'd go w/ a vented hood rather then DE. Maybe you said earlier in the thread!? A well vented HPS hood isn't to bad in a small space. Always need Ac of course.
If you have $800-900 I could refer you to the led fixture for you. You won't get a big fixture you can count on for no $400.
If you just wanna grow now, grab HPS. full set up $400. You want good led, double that. Many advantages to led though that continuously save you money!
If the light is expensive but i get to save on any extra setup and my electric bill, plus easy to use...im all ears! Let me get a suggestion.
And im probably going with a tent 4x4x7ft tall with a 30 or 40 gallon pot

Yes, you can mix it! I am also converting mine and will probably use Citizen CLU048-1212 , they are cheaper (if you found them) than Cree's. If not can also look for CLU048-1812 (if your driver is like mine 50v-112v)

1 healthy plant
7 - 10 gall pot
2.5 months month vegged
Nutrients
Co2
Temp/humidity
Decent yielding strain
Topped & pinched
Amare SE - 450
Basic skills
= 1-1.5 pound

Go 2 plants in 7 gall. Pots w/ 2 Amare Pro-4's= 2 pounds +
Got the room on the 4'x4'
That's my advice on the matter. Good luck!

And whatever happened to EcoSunLite?
I thought for sure they'd have a decent enhanced burple growing in the hands of a trustworthy RIU member by now! Can anyone direct me to an EcoSun grow?
Or am I searching it all wrong. Should I be looking for PLC vs. EcoSun side by side? Lol! That would be a good one.
Thought they were going to supply a grower w/ a light to show is all how it works?
@Airwalker16 won one but that's a lil different. He didn't sign up to do a public grow w/ one.

I'll be posting a new thread title tonight of my new led grow using Amare, SunCloak, & the infamous Hydroponics Hut. Hope to see many of you there. It will be a cool & very different grow from what we're used to. 9 plants, 3 different lights. Welcome folks!
