I am going to use a 3x3 tent. trying to swim in all things LED but starting to feel like im sinking in too much information.

Come down to a decision. a pre made unit 4cob cxb3070 3000k 200w vs a diy 4cob cxb3590 3500k.

what would be the better lighting for my space? would they be about equal for flowering in a 3x3? both around the same cost.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!

@REALSTYLES Thanks for the reply in my other thread, think I'm going to go the DIY route. What would I need for a 4x4 grow tent?

I've been watching GrowMau5 and Greengene on youtube, and they don't say exactly what they bought for that specific build. Can you offer me any advice?

The only difference between one 600w panel or 3 200w panels is 2 pieces of "L" aluminum connecting them.
The cree cxb 3070's are out of stock (listed in your desc), are they the most efficient COB's?

I've been looking on alibaba and you can get good quality cob's relatively cheap, $10-15 each, would they be just as effective?

Would something like this work?

You can use the 3590, it's more efficient.

Those are not anywhere near what a cxb light is. And they wil end up costing you a lot more to your door than the FOB price on alibaba.

In the video, you used the CXB 3070's If you were able to use the 3590's... would you? Is there much of a difference in yield/quality etc. If I were using 12 3590's in my 4x4 would that be "too efficient" i.e heat problems etc. I guess I'd have to buy my cob's from mouser in the uk, right? I can't see many options.

£25.37 ea for the 3070
£43.13 ea for the 3590

Sure would be nice to have a stickied, editable vendor link thread. Check out pacificlightconcepts.com, cutter.com.au, or hit up @REALSTYLES for cheaper prices on the 3590. They have coupons and shit, also timber lights sells some DIY kits too. Mouser is the worst.

Those are GBP, and not good prices at all. 3070 is about $36, which is fine I guess. I think cutter wins that particular price battle.

I guess I juSt figured compared to the price of the 3590's next to it, it's definitely cheaper

probably due to stock, they have alot of them

my only question is should i buy them pre-wired or build my own.

timber has them but they're a bit pricey... would be about half the price if i used the 3070's instead of the 3590's. Is there much of a difference between them, just an extra 3k lumens.. is that all?

That and more efficient I think. Plus the larger LES, some claims give better spread.
