Oakland city council just passed a vote to allow 4 super production facilities,1 boasted to have a 60lb per day capacity. The man behind this is has been quoted saying his goal is to become the mcdonalds of marijuana. This is the same dude who is behind prop 19. Pretty fucking convienent if you ask me..

I dont care if members here judge me for growing for a living.I normaly wouldnt come out and say it, its something that forum folk get butthurt about.

After years of being underpaid and laid off, i decided Id put that unemployment check to use and started growing..and growing..and growing.I make a decent living, save money and do what i want with my free time.. I dont own any guns, i drive the speed limit and i dont associate with any real criminals. I declare my poker winnings and pay taxes on them.

My garden is 100% medically legit, as is every garden i visit.

Prop 19 would make what i do highly illegal as well as logistically impossible. It would cut the legal grow size to a 5x5 space per property. New laws will be put in place to regulate the sale of marijuana, making it illegal to be in possesion of marijuana that wasnt purchased at one of the few monopolized state approved dispensaries.

AMEN, i agree entirely to the last part. Thats why its not legal in the first place and it only going to become legal all over if the govornment can find a way to screw millions of people out of millions of dollars

Again, this is myth. Tobacco companies do not own the farms that grow their crops. Besides that no corporation is going to touch this so long as it's scheduled federally. These people don't turn HUGE profits by making stupid business decisions like blatantly ignoring the law.

Weed will probably never be legal without some stipulations as to licenses and whatnot.

I did do a little searching on this topic & here is what I found,I went on budtrader & in their search I typed"Phillip Morris,sorry no results,then i typed Big Tobacco,also,no results.I then searched to find a local newspaper & got this,

I used their search feature to look thru the archives & used the same search words I used at BT & got the same results,nothing about PM or any other tobacco company buying so much as a toothpick in Mendo.
I still was'nt done & further searching uncovered a mag called New Economy & they had a story about the fear of big tobac coming to norcal & this little tidbit,

Did you actually read Prop 19??? Where does it say that it over rules Prop 215? I'm assuming you are growing under Prop 19, or if you have your cultivators license and/or MMIC, you shouldn't worry about Prop 19 affecting your grow space.

This is fear mongering on tobacco man. We have to get the people educated. They pushed Big Tobacco out because the People had too big of a voice. Big Tobacco fought these taxes. They'd love to change their image but if we vote this in they'll never have a chance. Big Tobacco supports the little guy and their farms!

i can understand why growers making a decent living are worried about prop 19
but these MMJ factories are happening without its help, there seems to be a huge disconnect with prop 19 and the Oakland activities
you can scream to high heaven about prop 19, but while you're doing that they're breaking ground on a MMJ factory

I dont really think any one besides yourself gives a fuck if you wanna get rich selling all your medicine to the clubs and most likely public. so really who is the stupid bitch here? I actually use my medical card for what its supposed to be used for... not just another way to try to be a fucken millionaire... I guess all you thought this was the California Bud Lotto or something since prop 215 passed. Its all good though we will see in november.

Then the pro-Prop-19ers wouldn't have anything to post. Their whole argument is based on making small and medium scale farmers look like drug lords and the embodiment of avarice while either ignoring or condoning the very same actions of a select few who ARE doing exactly what they accuse us of.
