If marijauna becomes 100% legal

I think the smoking would be regulated in the sense of where and when, but not growing. the government didnt make beer or liquor after prohibition. the quality will be the same, if not better, but the only new detail would be a tax. this will regulate itself though. if the tax is too high, everyone will keep doing what they're doing and sell the home-grown until it becomes cheap enough where the government can see a profit

Gov would tax the hell out of it and the little man would be pushed out. Some big Gov plant will emerge and would be illegal for anyone but them to grow.So the Gov would be the only one with control. You know look around where the hell is our freedom of speach.Just try to go out and say the wrong thing you end up in jail for some bullshit. They have all ready taken alot from us.I don't smoke Cigs and i hate the dam smell of them .How ever i dont think its right that the Gov has made people stop smoking in public places .LOL so much for us owning our business.LOL Ya the control that to.Some day we will be paying to take a crap oh ya we already do if you live in town you pay for sewer,My grand father told me 35 years ago some day we will be paying for water and paying to watch tv.LOL well he was right. have great day good people !!!

if weed was 100% legal with no if ands or buts about it
it would be worthless . knowing what i know i can never buy weed again unless i run out for some reason. an OZ would be worth like 5$ for pure kush of any kind , maybe even less- i wouldent pay that now - with my growing skills- and weed is illegal
so if weed was 100% legal with no if ands or buts about it those who grow for profit will die there maybe a markit for hash i think

people are allowed to grow there own tobaco and it just gets pricier, you can brew your own beer for much much less, I know a guy with a legal stil for moon shine but must people still buy liquor, most products on the market can be had simply and cheaply but laziness and instituionalized mentalities make us consumers. I don't think the price of MJ would drop if it became legal, more than likely phillip morris would proccess and sell it for 50 bucks for a pack of jays.

If it were to become legal, it would become corporate. I think it would be like beer, you would have mass producers, who would skimp on quality, but charge less, devaluing it. I also think many organic and niche farmers would spring up, much like microbreweries. I also think there would be home growing, but mainly for hobbyists and purists, much like the art of homebrewing is today.

dude if it became completely legal, no huge grow ops would emerge cause anyone with half a brain would grow they're own so they didn't have to pay anyone for it. and money wouldn't really be made from the bud, it would become a non issue pretty much(best outcome). and it wouldn't be a big deal anymore.

haha soOoOoo high, 4:20 here in so cal!
Not everybody would start growing just because they legally could...

Same here. Stay out of my pockets, stash and grow. The taxs would be atleast 20%. I dont think that the quaility will go down because there will be so many people tryin to make the bomb bomb cus quality is the only way to get ia sack off if it was legallized.

It pot was legal....?? The first thing to go would be this site and many others like it. Next you'd see a whole "sub-culture" slowly vanish. The value of your crop would be comparable to grapes or apples. The "kids" will lose all interest and move on to other "illegal" activities / substances. Marijuana will become boring and many people will be out of a job until the next illegal substance is established. Pot will then be for old folks that can't afford insurance or medications. Cannabis will lose it's "freedom" cry and become the establishment's drug.

Crap! I hope I'm wrong.

economy 101 class first if it was 100% legalized which it looks like it will be in washington state yay i love living in seattle, then the price would obviously initially drop considering no more consequences. But after the government figures out that they could make a fortune or regulation and taxation it will be right back up to legal street value prices after taxes, dont fret growers there will still be and under the table market if it becomes legal.

And many new jobs would be created because of legalization not lost as a few have mentioned coffee shops would spring open and the states that legalized it would make a fortune. Ever been to amsterdam yes its boring there but they still make a fortune off it.

But think also, that if it was legal, many of us potlover would be able to work in jobs currently offlimits due to drug testing.

If weed became 100% legal in the states I think big tobacco would definatly produce it,the government would tax it and it would be sold wherever you can buy cigerettes and beer.I think you would have to be 21 with I.D. to purchase just like beer, and where you can smoke would be regulated just like beer.Smoking in public is just not tolerated anymore no matter if it's cigs or weed.Prices would be at least $5 a joint. The government already knows the consumers are willing to pay this so lowering the price is ridicules and bad business. All personal growing would be outlawed,as the I.R.S. can't tax you on what you don't claim and the government wants every cent for every joint sold anywhere in this country. They will say that by big tobacco setting up new plants and employing lots of new people this is creating new jobs. The drug dealer would be out of work, the small legal grow ops would be out of work, and all those who smoke for free now would be FORCED to buy at there prices. They might use the whole medical uses thing against us,and say if were going to call this medicine, then it needs to be looked after by the Food and Drug Administration so that they are sure its all good and there are no"problems"with it.They will say that they have to make sure it's grown properly and safe for users.(Just a lie to make it illegal for us to grow our own)
The coffee shops springing up everywhere would help the economy with building trades, and employees. But I defiantly feel they will put a stop to home grows and those of you who grow legally for profit. Just when I start growing my own so I dont have to pay top dollar anymore and close to $1000 a month.Wouldn't it be the kicker if they made it legal like I always wanted, but then I was FORCED to buy it from them and still pay $1000 a month

Sorry but I FAIL to believe how legalization would in ANY way alter the nature born ingredient THC and it's affect on my consciousness.

It's not going to be more BORING. it will still be the same for kids. I got shitfaced for the first time when i was 15, stoned for the first time when i was 16. which one of those two is harder to get? it depends on your situation really. but for me at the time, weed was. i knew older friends siblings to get me alcohol. however, most 15 year olds don't have 21 yr old siblings who will hook them up.

If the legal age is 21 it won't change a thing except for maybe it will be harder for kids to get it. Unless of course they got it off the black market, just like they do now.
