In that case, chop it down right now and throw it in the trash, because you will never harvest anything worth smoking off of that plant by Jan 15th.

I am in agreement, but you stated you had to harvest by Jan 15th. To me that meant the plant had to be GONE by then, and you will not yield anything from that plant by that date. You do realize that on Jan 15th that baby is going to stinking up the place, right?

Can't you hide or move the plant somewhere else until mother in law is gone,just a thought.

With no filtration etc, it will stink your whole house up, possibly outside too, i forget what strain, but it will smell buddy.

EDIT: re read up to here, goto 12/12 if your not already

Tag teaming with the sun could benefit you, i suggest getting more cfl's, get 2 more of those 65-ers you got, this way the one plant is getting more than over 100 w a plant, more is more with cfl's etc so just up your lights, more light cannot hurt...

As per your mother in law...its your house she can eat a dick or leave imo...but thats me lol

The smell... Like i said not sure about your strain since its bag seed, but all plants smell moderately, and to a virgin nose, it will be identifiable pretty quick. Where is this plant currently, outside on that patio and tag teamed with cfl's?

Hope all goes very well, remember to do a lot of research before popping a bean next time, always KISS, keep-it-simple-stupid. and learn as much as you can before growing, then wen issues arise you will be more educated on how to adapt for such problems. Re-read the stickies, search youtube for growing videos, carbon filtration, tent setups, sexing, flowering, etc....

OK here are the complete details.

Seed:Not sure ,Mostly bag seed,But i have reasons to believe its Araku valley stuff..Which is a bit famous for its Hash
Light: 8 Hrs CFL, 4 hrs Sunlight
Location: Balcony Outside, well hidden ,it's pretty open and well ventilated.
Growing For :Interest and Fun ,Also learn :) Dope is preety cheap here , in 10 dollars you get 250 gms of pure bud.(10-15% Thc, very difficult to get higher THC level).
As fate would have it ,2 months back i got this stuff from the friendly Dope Aunty ,smelled like a mango....got a high that lasted 3-4 hrs..Next thing you know i was gardening.

Mother in Law : she's sweet, and i guess if i tell her i am growing just from interest..she might believe that. But she might get suspicious as she keeps complaining to her daughter about my Eyes :)
and lastly my GF would just burst out laughing when i will be convincing her mother that i am not gonna smoke it .

But for now plant stays .
