Ideas for small business?

Hey all,

So as of two months ago I am now a medical patient. I didn't know until I went in for a job interview yesterday that in Oregon you can be denied employment even if your a patient for testing positive. I've been unemployed for eleven months and now have to clean out. But my dream has always been to start my own under the table business (you'd be amazed at the amount of small businesses that start off someone just trying to pay the bills while they look for work) and have it become a legitimate small business that I can provide for my family and maybe even hire a few patients so they don't have to worry about the drug test bulls#(t that we patients have to deal with. I'm not looking for ideas like a hit man for the mob or selling weed. I am looking for some real suggestions on ideas for self-employment that can turn into a legitimate business. I am working on a few ideas right now (process server, landscaping, Cleaning houses and apartments that are really trashed and people want it done discreetly) and thought the best place to turn for some other ideas is my fellow tokers. Cause we all think outside the box. I am in Oregon if that helps to bring in some ideas.

thanks all!

Try cleaning viruses off people's computers... you'd be surprised how many will fork out 30 bucks for that. Just go over with the newest version of antivirus on a dvd every day (no flash drives, the virus will come back to your computer then).

I like the idea, but no clue how to do it... so a little more info on how and what you mean by "Just go over with the newest version of antivirus on a dvd every day" would be great

I think the idea is to install the software and then burn it from Program Files onto a dvd, but I don't really know for sure. It was a friend's idea. Either way if you can simply have up to date A/V with you every day you should do alright with that.

I'm in Oregon too, an OMMP patient too. I'm in the same situation as you, except that I do have a decent paying job already so my situation is less pressing. I have been brainstorming about different types of jobs I can do that require little startup cost. I've got a few ideas, they are types of things I am good at.

So my question to you is.. what skills/experience do you have?

I'm kinda thin on experience. I aged out of foster care and kinda drifted around the country until four years ago when I moved here. I worked at a DD home and I've done sawmill work (moved here to find a good sawmill job. Didn't know I was moving here when mils were going to start having problems left and right. I have been trying to do some stuff on craigslist. Just kinda stuck in the trying to start something when almost anything takes startup cost and I am beyond broke.

You can also work online by sitting at home. People are making a lot of money by it. You are a patient and my b computer virus checking work may provide you more damage against your disease. So by sitting at home try to work online.

smartphone repair homie...I run an all apple repair shop and there is money to be made....repairs, buying and selling....upgrades...

If you can work on small electronics then you are set...this stuff is easy replacing a screen is cake...if you can get into board level repairs then you start getting into mad cash buying water damaged gear and getting it running

Have you ever seen the service where instead of calling a cab, you call a guy on one of those little pocket rocket bikes? He shows up at the bar, puts his little motorbike in your trunk, drives you and all your drunk friends home, and beats it again on his little bike. You get a safe ride home, and when you wake up in the morning you don't have to deal with getting your car.

You can make money on Craig's list if that's something you enjoy using, find free stuff, lots of them. Go pick them up, and resell either on Craigslist or yard sale. You would be surprised at how people throw out/give away awesome stuff.

I think the concept is to set up the application and then get rid of it from System Information onto a dvd, but I don't really know for sure. It was a buddy's concept. Either way if you can basically have up up to now A/V with you every day you should do good with that.

If you don't have any marketable skills, I'm afraid your SOL at least until you develop some. Internet marketing is a goldmine if you do the research. Start a blog on something your passionate about, and once you have a following, become a publisher by signing up with multiple affiliate networks then earn commissions by promoting select products that relate to your niche.

Affiliate marketing is already saturated with ppl just like you so try to pick a niche that you can contribute to that also has low competition and high demand.

If you are in a med state what about a food delivery service when all those MJ smokers get the munchies?
Charge a flat fee to get them fast food, snacks, meds, etc. All you would need is your car. No upfront investment,
you just need a car which you hopefully already have. PM me if you want more info.
