Ideas for a watering system?

Looking to setup a watering system for my girls at the cottage. Something to keep'em watered through the week when I'm not there. Contemplating using a plastic 45gal drum and one of those weeping garden hose...if you know what I mean? The drum would be elevated a coupe feet off the ground then I'll run the hose around all the plants. Think it'll work?

yup something like that will work, u just need to figure out how much water u need to store up there. if u can get the lines to drip slow during the time, say four or five days and then you have two or three days for the soil to dry, that seems like it would work...tinker with it until you master it

not outdoor but indoor, 3 clones in 8 inch rockwool cubes set in a bathtub.no water pumps, no drip lines. just 3 one liter bottles with 2 tiny holes at the bottom of each. mix the nutes, fill the bottles, and set on top of the rockwool.
-results were beyond expectations, but it could have been beginners luck with that one

you can string the hose out and put a spray nozle on it so you can leave the water in the hose without loosing it.....then poke yourself some holes in the hose with a safety pin(very small hole)...put a hole where it would water a plant ant your good to go..or hook the same hose to your drum of water....i would put nutes in the drum, and alternate from your drum to the tap each time you go up to the cottage.......a neighbour where our cottage is at does this and it seems to work..

I have a system made of a 55 gallon plastic drum, and two 1/4 drip lines (two plants) that run from the bottom of the drum about 30 feet to my plants. The setup is in the middle of nowhere, where I have no access to water. It has been working great ever since I set it up and the plants look healthier and happier than ever. I have adjustable drippers from 1-10 GPH, but I've managed to neck it down so they drip 24 hours a day every day. Haven't had a problem with overwatering or root rot.

Ya I'm gonna scrap the weeping hose for drippers. The hose works but not very well without pressure from the tap.
