I just learned about this and some experiences I read have been pretty amazing. Its best known for stopping addictions immediately.

This is 1 new report that I just read on erowid: http://www.erowid.org/experiences/exp.php?ID=76892

People have experiences vivid hallucinations for hours. People have contacted dead ancestors, gone through their whole lives, met things like animals, African tribes, gone back or forward in time. A lot of different crazy things like that and it seems that you stay pretty aware this whole time. People are able to recollect a lot, unlike most psychedelics. Sounds pretty amazing and Im surprised Ive never heard of this before.

This is the first I have ever heard of anything like that. Kinda sounds like that movie Altered States.

heh kind of rare substance to come by.
Yeah very rare.

I guess theres not too much of a demand for recreational use. Also, it supposedly is pretty expensive. Not sure why though. I would think u could buy the plant or get it urself, and the extract from the plant roots cant be that much more difficult than extracting DMT, many ppl have successfully done that.

Im just now learning about this. From what Ive heard though, its probably one of the most interesting psychedelics Ive heard of outside DMT and possibly 1 or 2 more.

Ibogaine is much more difficult to extract (mainly because there isn't much literature about how to do so)..

I still want some lol.

Allthough it has been documented to have that ability in some, other people need say 2 or 3 repeat treatments and then there are those who realy do not want treatment...

but, please don;t put the message out that it is a single dose cure.. it will just lead to disapointment, for those who need it the least, at the time they may be most vulnerable.

Well I have heard from actual doctors that there is something about the reaction in the brain that stops cravings immediately. It fixes certain things, and blocks other things. Then there is the visions that they cant measure which might help it out even more.

Im not meaning to get ppls hopes up though. I just made this becuz the experience on erowid sounded so amazing. Still, if someone out there is a really bad addict for years, and theyre life is in danger, than at the very least they should look into this stuff.

Heres 1 that Ive watched, pretty interesting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syztZcpj69U

Yep, I too have been advocating its use, especialy against addiction, but just need to stress that you may need a repeat treatment, especialy with opiates, it does little to counter the physical withdrawl...
