I just transplanted in to 5 gallon containers and originally i was growing in a soilless mixture and feeding with advanced nutes but i just put my plants in miracle grow. i know novice mistake but did it anyways:-?. so i was looking for tips as far as a watering schedule or if i should add nutrients to it. its 0.21%-0.07-0.14 and it says it feed for 6 months. I also heard that when using miracle grow i should have my Ph at 8 because the soil was too acidic is there any truth to this?
Thanks all your the Sh**

It sounds like you have the slow-release nutes in the soil as it says '6months'. If this is correct then you will not be able to flush the nutrients out at the end of flowering unfortunatley. The soil doesnt sound like it has the optimum level of NPK nutes for weed. Check your run-off water for the pH, as long as that is in the happy-range, roughly between 6and7. Some soils do come acidic, maybe if they are high in peat for example. You may have to water with water you have adjusted to be more alkaline, but check runoff first.

I used it at first. It needed perlite 20% and 2 Tbsp of dolomite per gallon. Hard to control nutes as it dumps more as you water.

if u are in veg you will be ok. If you are in flower you will start to have problems about week 2-3 if your not careful. I used miracle grow moisture control on my first couple grows and always get nitrogen toxicity around that time in flower. The time release nutes are a bastard for flowering. If you run into trouble don't flush as it will only make problems worse, don't feed it anything unless it starts to show a deficiency. I found the only water that worked with it for me to be hinckley distilled water. the ph was always 7 or just a bit higher and it helped keep the ph in the soil around 6.5. Water only when the bucket is very light and the top couple inches are bone dry. Top dress with lime though to help it out. A friend of mine grew out some good bud using miracle grow. There is no way to flush with that like it was mentioned by another user above. What he did was at harvest time he pulled the plant carefully out of the pot, took it in the backyard and sprayed the whole rootball down with water until just the roots were left and the soil was washed away. He set the plant roots first into a 5 gallon bucket of fresh distilled water and left it in the dark for 72 hours changing the water out every 24 hours. this helped to rid the plant of excess nutes and made for a nice smooth great tasting smoke. If your too rough with it when you are washing the soil away it will wither and not be able to take in the fresh water though. Good luck! Your in for a challenge with that stuff.

If its not to big a hassle for you, Its not a bad idea to remove it and put it in different soil. If you leave it I'm sure it will still grow though - you might just end up with a few nute deficencies as its hard to add the nutes in the right amounts due to the MG soil constantly releasing ferts. I mean, a standard 'bloom' fertilizer theoretically contains all the nutes the weed needs, so by adding a standard bloom nutrient to your MG soil, you will have excesses of some nutes. If you hold back on the bloom nutes then the soil might be lacking some. Its kind of tricky.

It shouldnt be a prob now thank you i was able to put it in its old pot very easily and i'm going to go back to equal parts pearlite peat moss and vermiculite like i had before
