You want to plant with the taproot down. I am assuming this is the point you are talking about. If you put it in there before much of the taproot shows it will usually orient itself properly but you really should plant it facing down."when to plant seed after germ" someone told him to plant seed point up is that right

i mysef just germed some beans in paper towel, and when i dropped one of them in the soil i didnt want to touch the root so i jus left it. the stem popped out followed by the catys. took about 12 hours for it to straighten itself out . you should be fine"when to plant seed after germ" someone told him to plant seed point up is that right

There really isn't a wrong or right way man. Use what works for you. Planting directly into soil instead of paper towel germinating is the best way IMO. There have been several threads lately about germinating seeds and everybody has some querky way of doing it. If you let the taproot get too long though the germed seedling quickly loses viability. Plus you can rip off some of the tiny hairs on the root which will stress the seedling. The paper towel method also leaves the tiny exposed seedling to mold and fungal disease.
