Best trip of my life.
After purchasing close to 8 grams of psilocybe mushrooms and holding onto them for about a month, my girlfriend and I decided it was time to take them. I was originally going to take them with a guy friend of mine, but he said he would be fine watching me and my girlfriend take them.
Here is a brief synopsis of what went down:
On Friday, August 10th, around 8 or 9pm, my girlfriend drove up to my place, wanting me to come back to her place to eat dinner. We went to her place to find dinner freshly made and mixed drinks poured. There was a half a fifth of smirnoff orange and some orange juice on the counter. Apparently she had already drunk a large mixed drink and eaten. I ate and then we decided that it was better to have sex out of our systems before we went to my friend's to do mushrooms. Before we headed out, we filled up a water bottle with a really strong screwdriver and then took two semi-empty fifths of vodka with us as well as the mushrooms and a copy of Blood Diamond in case my friends wanted to watch something. On the way, I texted a couple friends with "Hey gonna go chill at so-and-so's with my gf and my other friend if you wanna join us. Gf and i will be on pcilocybe(sic) mushrooms but we are also bringing plenty of booze." One of my friends texted me back asking for directions.
I decided to stop by the liquor store and buy a 1 L bottle of vodka and there was this guy in front of me in line who was buying a case of MGD bottles as well as a bottle of some booze, he tried to balance the bottle on top of the case with one hand but it almost tipped over, so he used both hands. We arrived at the house in a very nice quiet neighborhood with trees and a beautiful sky out. There were a ton of cars parked outside. We went inside to find that my friend's brother was throwing a huge party upstairs, but they were just watching a movie at the time, so we went into the basement, where it was really chill and quiet. Two of my friends were just chilling there with the Olympic ceremonies on their high def TV (they're like the Jones's and have to be the first on the block with everything). I made some comment about how they had two wide screen high def tvs and then unloaded my bottles of booze on the table, as well as the mushrooms. I used my friend's scale to measure out the mushrooms (they were supposedly 1/4 ounce) because I paid $60 for them and didn't want to get ripped off. It turned out they were 7.8 grams, so I got a little bonus with 'em. My gf and I each took 1.8 grams (about half an 8th) to start off with. We didn't notice anything different for awhile. Just then the friends who had asked for directions arrived. I hadn't seen them in forever. I took them downstairs and noticed the fouton looked bright orange, and there were some Indianapolis Colts pillows that looked bright blue. Then we took another 1.8 grams or so, and began to feel the first wave hit us full on. We visited with my friends and then they asked if my girlfriend and I could go get them another beer. My girlfriend and I held hands and walked up the stairs and it felt like an escalator. When we got to the top, we turned and looked at each other with wide eyes and smiles and said "Let's do that again!" It turned out my friends from the basement were kinda mooching beers that were left in the kitchen (which my friend called "no man's land") from the party upstairs, and my gf and I were just the "middle men" because we weren't drinking any beers. I offered to buy the other party a case of MGD but he was like "nah i'm not worried." I realized that my sober friends in the basement were missing out by watching the olympics and shit, so my girlfriend and I joined the party. We went into bathrooms and looked at each other in the mirror. Everything was so crisp, so beautiful. I looked at myself and even though my hair was sticking up / kinda messy, the bronzed look from the candlelight in the bathroom looked so damned cool. My girlfriend and I weren't being narcisistic by any stretch, but everything did seem beautiful. I imagined myself piloting on the old disney show TaleSpin, and I made a straight face and stared at myself in the mirror and my face begin to morph into a statue... as soon as I wanted it to stop, I'd burst into a grin and laugh at myself. We went down into the unfinished part of the basement where there was a single light and some cat litter boxes, and it seemed like a whole new hideaway akin to Narnia. My girlfriend was like "let's have sex." I thought about it and then realized we were literally like 10 feet away from my other friends in the finished part of the basement; not only that, but we were only being separated by some thick particle board or something because we could hear them talking amongst themselves right on the other side of the wall. We went back into the finished part of the basement and sat cross legged across from each other and talked amongst ourselves while everything else around us was a bit phased out. We had our own little bubble world, and then there was everything else. Later, we went back to the upstairs bathroom and had our mirrow experiences again, and then we realized people were waiting to pee in the bathroom, so we opened it up and giggled and smiled and let them in. We sat down right outside the bathroom and talked happily to everyone who was waiting in line for it. This asian girl with a weird sense of humor looked at us and was talking to us, and I couldn't figure out if she was dissappointed at us or what, but towards the end she said something like "I want whatever you are on!" My friend's brother (the host of the big party who happened to be my longtime childhood friend but we don't hang out much anymore) came in and saw my girlfriend and I sitting on the floor and he just leaned against the wall with a beer in his hand and talked with us. I smiled and said I hoped we weren't wasting his time or bothering the party. Then I asked him if he had anywhere he needed to be at the moment. He smiled back and said "Riiight, I'm the host of this party, as if there's anywhere I need to be right now." I couldn't tell if he was being sarcastic or serious, but he was good natured and friendly so I didn't mind. Then it turned out they were going to open up the hottub in the back deck and we were actually sitting in front of the door to the back deck. At that moment, a hottub sounded like the coolest thing... but we didn't have any swimming trunks. So we went into the backyard and we were blown away by the massiveness of the backyard and deck, as well as the stars. I cannot put the beauty into words, but I have never seen anything like it ever. I grinned and looked at this other guy and my girlfriend and said "Let's race to the far pole of the backyard." They were both like "Okay!" and we walked towards it. My girlfriend won and went back, and I just wandered slowly towards it with the other guy friend of mine. When we got closer, we realized that the back yard was shaped more like the outfield edge of a baseball stadium, so there technically wasn't any single corner. We touched the wall and then started walking back. My girlfriend was in the middle of the yard smoking a cigarette and I smiled and pulled it out of her hand and took a puff and went "yuck" and was about to flick it when I asked her "Would this give you a bad trip if I threw it out?" She smiled and said "not at all." So I threw the cigarette as far as I could, but it landed short of the fense and went out in the night dew. My girlfriend and I got into our underwear (her in her bra and panties, and me in my boxers) and she went into the hottub first. I stayed and talked with the guy friend of mine. All of a sudden, I heard someone say "Your girlfriend is on mushrooms and in the hottub with us, you should come before someone tries to hit on her!" So I hurried up and hopped in. There was a warm mist against the cool clear starry night sky, and it looked incredible. I sunk down into the warm liquid but it felt incredible, almost unlike water. I expected the hottub to be a sausage fest, but there were at least as many girls as guys. I guess alot of the other guys stayed to watch another movie inside, or were too self-conscious to hop in. Later I asked the really really beautiful girl (next to me and my girlfriend) if she could go down and get mixed drinks. She was like "sure, can you show me where the booze is?" We got out and went to the kitchen, then to the basement. She was topless, I was in my boxers. My girlfriend came down into the basement shortly, topless too. I wasn't doing anything bad, just looking for alcohol, so there wasn't any conflict. I couldn't find the booze, and we all noticed we were topless, so they felt each other's boobs. We had a ton of sex as we were wearing off of our trip, and then she went to sleep while I stayed up and trip-dialed some of my friends who have taken mushrooms before to tell them how awesome it was. She had probably 75% good trip and 25% bad trip. My trip was basically 100% good trip, besides my girlfriend getting upset. I think her biggest frustration was her being sad and me still being happy. I just saw the beauty in everything!
