I think I will run out of space - should I give up the biggest ones?

I've been keeping these in veg because I wanted to see what sex they were before transplanting to bigger pots and put them in 12/12.

The strains are C99, Legends Ultimate Indica and Skunk x Thai.

Problem is, the Skunkplants sure take their time doing showing sex. My original plan was to keep two plants of each strain, six plants in total.

As of now, the four C99 plants are all female. Two of the Ultimate Indica are females, the rest unknown this far. I have three Skunk x Thai plants who havent showed their sex.

What am I supposed to do, and if you look at the picture, you can see that the ultimate indicas in the very back have reached half height of my growspace already. Will this become impossible to flower?

I only have space for six plants in the end, there is no more room, but I really want to taste all of the strains. I know I could go with 2 Ultimate Indica and 4 C99, but I want the skunks aswell....

I don't really know what I'm asking for, I want some advise I guess. Your thoughts! What would you've done? And oh of course, will these outgrow my space making this impossible?
Also, these have been in veg for 43 days...

Yeah I can lift it to the top, but some say the plants could grow much more than double size in flowering. I'm worried where this will end. Also I dont think you read my post really :) There are 11 plants in there right now, I want to transplant them and flower only six of them due to space issues but the skunk x thai plants won't show their sex and I dont know what the fuck im supposed to do........ worried.....

In my fantasy dreamworld I would end up flowering: two C99, two Ultimate Indica, two Skunk x Thai.

I ran into the same "problem" on my previous grow, too many females.
Here's what I did. I split the grow in two. Each half got left under the light for 12 hours then moved into a closet (light sealed of course). The other half was removed from it and placed under the lights. Not a lot of work really and you double the output of your garden.

Thats my problem too..with two plants and 1/3 of that space... most times people can't get shit to grow, then you have no space everything grows... You're like me in that you have shims under your plants... You could try super cropping..thats squeezing stem to slightly damage upward growth..
even top/LST... you have extras so why not try some shit..may be able to learn and reap some extra weed and experience... Luck...
+rep for nice looking plants...

Alright, I recently got some strings so I could force them down. And the problem isn't really too many females. I have no problem throwing away (or giving away) female plants, the problem is I've been waiting for the skunks to show sex for a very very long time. If it weren't for those three I would've gone 12/12 long time ago.

I just took a picture on one of them and enhanced it in photoshop. What do you say, too early to tell?

Yea maybe you're right man. Whats everyones opinion on transplanting to bigger pots during flowering? If thats ok, it might just be an option. Just go 12/12 right away, here and now, with the smaller pots.

I'd hand you the leftovers but I got a feeling we live far far away from each other ;P

Sorry to say this but i live in europe man.

Whats your experience in transplanting during flowering? Do you think most plants show their sex after a week of 12/12?

i think depending on the starin and luck of it happening quick
some times it do and some times it dont
but normally males show up first and fems take longer
but in ur case i would try one

If u plan to LST, DONOT GO 12/12 just now...

U'r plants will turn hermie or worse, males...

I'd say Train em for like a week in vegging... u may want to trim some of the fan leaves... then after like a week, throw em into flowering... But u DONOT CUT OR PRUNE THEM IN THE 1ST 2 WEEKS OF FLOWER.. U DONT WANT TO STRESS EM TOO MUCH :)
All the best man :)

I've transplanted a couple weeks into flowering with no problems. The earlier the better, but transplanting shouldn't really be too stressful if done right.

you willl be waiting some time more for the skunks to shoiw sex unless you flip your lights to 12/12 now .why didnt you change your light schedule earlier ,when the plants where smaller its a lot quicker than waiting for them to mature and show sex on the veg light cycle .
anyway id flip my lights now and start tying down .

Thanks for all your replies, this site (and you) are really helpful to me.

Well hmm I just planned like this... I'll germ and veg 12 seeds in smaller pots, wait til I have two females out of each strain (6 total) and then transplant to bigger pots, and then 12/12. I really thought they would show their sex earlier than this. So you would've flipped the lights now, and transplant during flowering?

Here's the status on my roots lol

About time huh? I really wish I had more space. well.

the problem is some plants wont show sex on the veg light cycle for WEEKS in which time they have gotten to big for the grow space (which you have found out ) your best of flipping your lights when you know you still have plenty of head height left for the stretch during flowering and then weeding out the males and letting the fems grow .
but if it was really me id of done a SOG using 12/12 from seed method .
but yeah you wanna flip your lights now transplant if you want and do some tying down .

btw your plants look really healthy , shame about your lack of growing space , but with a bit of string you will still pull off a very nice grow . congrats
