well out of nowhere i was thinking about last week when my plants were eaten by raccoons. well i thought about it today while stirring my compost and it dawned on me. tabasco sauce! well it dawned on me that spies used tabasco sauce on dead drops when they used dead animals to relay messeges. im gonna have to try it

it seems like it should be a good way to get them at least sick so they dont come back

I hope your crops get stolen if you choose the route of killing any animals, there are non-lethal ways to combat the problem...

Chicken wire works great.

i was talking about tabasco sauce. the peanut butter and poison wasnt my idea and i have a conscience and feelings and i dont kill animals unless they are goin to be eaten. the reason i was wondering about tabasco sauce is because my crop was eaten. so its better to be silent and thought of as a fool then to speak and remove all doubt. and here in florida its goin to take more than chicken wire if the animal wants your plants

I think you misread the OP said...

Im in New England the problem around my area is deer and moose. I have a friend that grows outdoors and swears by "bitter apple" spray, he gets it at pet shops.

well in certain areas deer and pig are problems if you have deer then you have pigs and pigs root up a lot. the woods i am only have small critters. ive heard of dog hair but i dont have access to a dog but i was thinkin i might try some good ole tobasco sauce. ive never heard of bitter apple spray but if i come across it i will consider it

Golfballs dipped in cookie dough works great. Then put some chocoloate sprinkles on them. Hang the golfballs on the plant itself near the buds with string.

i have never had a problem with pests eating my plants but i do have squirrels that keep nesting in my garage and messing everything up. long story short i have found that wolf or fox piss works great!!!
i found it at my local garden shop

just make sure it's male wolf piss and not female or else you could get some frisky boy wolfs coming around
