I suggest that more growers and more smokers will elevate prices, if anything. Have you seen what dispensaries charge?$30-50 a gram is common. Works out to about one large per oz. Just how is that supposed to deflate prices?Of course we are having a theoretical debate here. BigSteve.
Easy big fella.
I can't speak for CA.
Prices went way down with medical here in CO. The dispensaries started popping up in 2009. Good stuff from a private guy was around $300 an ounce. Now weed is advertised all the time for $150 an ounce, retail price. There are occasional ads in craigslist for cheaper. I'm sure if you poke around, you could find FIRE for about $200 an ounce or less. 1/8ths go for about $25-$40. I think paying $40 is too much, you can get great pot for about $30 an 1/8th. (I grow, I rarely buy pot. The last 1/8th I bought was $38, og berry and it was excellent)

Right now, supply is easily keeping up with demand.I think when recreational shops open the demand might be greater than the supply, but not for long. People will grow a shit ton more and the prices will drop again. (That is pure speculation. When dispensaries opened I thought outdoor was going to be a huge factor, it is not)

"30 to 50 , now that's harsh." Yeah, you are right. I had based my $30-50 figure on a TV program. After asking
around I discovered that the TV program only showed the extreme top end products and prices. So my bad for
insufficient research and relying on the lame stream media. I looked around and estimate gram prices here are about
half of what I earlier stated.

Seems silly to edit and amend a hypothetical, eh?
Keeping it honest, BigSteve.
