I smoked weed and I still feel stoned

Hi, I have a problem after smoking some weed 6 months ago, i decided to try a marijuana forum because I think the people would be able to help me because they smoke too.

I first smoked marijuana when I was about 17 or 18 years old. It was just regular marijuana, and the first time I smoked it, it was heavy (as most first times are I guess). Well the next day and pretty much the following 2 weeks, it was really trippy, I would just "space out" while at school and time seemed to fly by. It was OK though because after about a month, the after effects seemed to decrease and eventually I got to a point where my stoned consciousness and the time after was OK.

After that, I haven't smoked any for about a year. Six months ago though, I smoked some White Widow and this is the start of my problem. I smoked a small bit and it was OK, but the next day I smoked about 3 times a normal amount and ever since then, my consciousness is really wierd, even 6 months later. It's as if I'm still in a milder version of the actual high, constantly, as if it's now my permanent consciousness (I feel like I'm constantly tipsy, not quite drunk but not perfectly clear) and it's really scaring me because it gets in the way of my work. I really hope someone can help me, I don't know what to do, time doesn't seem to help because the effects haven't dissipated in 6 months so I don't see how it could help in another 6 months. I asked a doctor about it but she wasn't very helpful because she thinks it's something to do with my blood, but I know it's something to do with my brain (marijuana is a psychoactive drug when I smoked it it must have done something). I decided to ask a marijuana forum because people here would know a lot about weed and I hope someone can help me.

I'd listen to your doctor.... there is no way that the marijuana you smoked 6 months ago is affecting you now. if anything, it has made you see things in a different light, opened a new door for you to see things from a different perspective.

How much was a 'small bit'? It may be any of a number of things. I've never heard of that long term smoker 'hang-over' lasting six months though. Maybe if you were still having the odd smoke...
...but then, who knows. I'm no doctor.

marijuana is completely out of your system in far less than 6 months.......
Yep. Sixty days at the longest I'd suggest. Metabolic rates vary among people, but yeah, 60 days, with an average of forty days for a long term heavy smoker.

Its not possible for you to still be stoned after six months. However, is it possible you have a condition that could be exacibated by el Ganja?

I'm sure there are plenty of things which could be made worse by weed.

Thank you all for replying.

I haven't smoked anything since that time 6 months ago. As for how much I smoked then, it was a really small amount, I guess maybe half or a full joint worth of premature weed (it only had about maybe 5-6 weeks flowering).

I agree that I'm not feeling this way because of any thc (im sure it's all out since 6 months time), I think it's I feel this way because when I got stoned, it changed something in my brain, so now it feels like I have a mild version of that trip replacing my consciousness...I don't know if that makes sense...

I would talk more to your doc have him check you out really good. You don't wanna mess around. Somethign could be sriously wrong. My little brother was sick for a year before they figured out what was wrong with him and by the time they did he was in renal failure.

Ummm, like everyone else has already said, it's impossible to still be high from smoking 6 months ago...

I mean, I know that the thc gets into your fatty cells or whatever. I knew a guy who went through this intense drug rehab thing, where they had you go into a sauna to sweat out drugs you had done before. He hadn't done acid in YEARS, but when they put in him the sauna he had an acid trip.

But...I mean, you're not talking about being in a sauna and having this happen.

If I were you, I'd be looking for the real reason I'm feeling like this, because weed just doesnt' cover it. I mean, I'd be seriously worried, and I'd have it checked out. But if you're not worried, neither am I.

i know what you mean...

after the first couple times weed changes something in your mind to make so think more like a stoner... i makes you think alot about things, space out and forget stuff. it actually is a good thing cause you think about stuff more then you normally would.

most of the people in the forum are already used to this state of mind so they say its nothing :)

i dont have clue on how to cure it, but with time youll get used to it and wont want to go back...

like bob marley said, it opens your mind and makes you rebel against babylon, which is society, i stopped smoking for 2 years, when i started back...my eyes opened to a new world again, all the wrong seemed to be understandable and stuff that was just confusing was clear...i also found that meditating on weed helps so much...but anyways, you probably have something wrong that the weed triggers...doctor is probably right...hope you get better and can enjoy smoking again...peace

I'm anemic and i don't even feel stoned the next day!!!! i have had some that hit me the next day but it was a mild high when it hit me. i suppose it could have changed the chemistry in your brain. who knows i'm no doctor but if its bothering you don't smoke anymore.

When I first started there was like a week long period where I felt really burnt out, kinda spacey, but that's it. Never happened again after that, so my advice is just smoke more.
