I got a clone from some guy and started it on 12/12 not knowing much about growing
I had a moldy clone cause of a lack of air flow. i wiped it off and started taking it outside during the day, the mold isnt visible anymore but the clone is rapidly losing fan leaves, they shriveled up an fell off, i chopped part of it and hung it for about 24 hours and smoked a few bowls, should i be okay or will i probably get sick?

I am molding my stash right now, just harvested it, and now it sits in a metal stash box, covered with soil...When the time is right, i will re-harvest it and sell to kids and say:" Hey, look, this shit is some serious crystal bomb ! " LOL

Smoking moldy weed cannot be a good thing. Besides the taste, some people are allergic to certain forms of mold and can react with various breathing problems. It can also make you piss straight down on your feet and it may never look up again......

Apparently, there is no kind of mold that can survive direct sunlight for a fairly sustained period of time, so leaving it in the sun may have prevented any harm to you from the mold.
Alternately, you may get some lung infection.
Consult with a doctor rather than seeking medical help here!
You'll wind up tattooed green, red and purple (if you ain't already) and with three surgically attached extra sets of eyelids and an arm growing from out of the top of your head.
In future, if you have moldy gear and an oven then put it in an oven. I have read that temperatures of above 168 degrees F will kill mold spores and break down most, if not all, of the toxic chemicals in the mold and spores.

Are we that desperate to get high? How old are you anyways?

Some molds are virtually harmless to most people, some people are allergic to specific molds/spores and still other molds produce toxic compounds which some individuals may be more sensitive/allergic to than others. Mold requires moisture in order to grow, and as some have mentioned heat, dryness and UV-C light can hinder/stop future proliferation. Combustion will also destroy mold and spores, but probably not entirely and you could still risk inhaling spores- which could potentially lead to infection.

However, the damage to the bud is already done. When wet cannabis is stored, especially in an air-tight container (or when already moldy cannabis is harvested prematurely), the molds and very likely anaerobic bacteria will feast on the organic matter, destroying it and it's cannabinoid content.

So again: are we that desperate to get high? How old are you anyways?

Dude, what do you think it means when people don't give you a straight answer ?

It's gross but don't worry about it. Smoking it green was probably harsher on your lungs anyway.

It's not worth getting bent out of shape over.

One of those little desk fan will give a single clone lots of airflow.

mold = spores, and spores should not be inhaled. that being said, my basement is a bit moldy and i breathe down there all the time. it's not quite the same as lighting mold on fire and inhaling the smoke, but my point is that while it might not kill you or make you noticably sick, it's still likely going to do some sort of harm, however little it may be.

Goes to show what crazy inflated value weed holds... You wouldn't eat moldy corn, or tainted alcohol...Good luck tough, the deed is done and you will find out soon enough whether your choice was a wise one.

The Federal government has conducted testing with mold on tobacco. The concern was mold could be passed through smoke to humans. Primary and secondary smoke were tested and both found not to carry any mold properties or spores through the smoke.

That being said, I would not encourage one to smoke moldy bud. You can always watercure it, make it into hash, or butter or cannaoil.

Everyone could benefit from being civil. This IS the internet after all.

Greg-you should know enough that when you ask a question half the answers are going to be (allegedly)humorous. This IS the internet after all.
