I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

This whole led market has kinda become a joke.
Nobody minds "companies" not making the electronics in house as that is the reality in most industries. (think Ford or Chevy subbing out components).
But there is way too much hype going around and no one has a dialed in clean cut system where the end user can just look and go - oh, this fits right where my T5 is and actually works, etc.
Then there is still the pricing aspect  A big money grab!
And of course, Welcome to Deficiencies 101 :fire:

2.6 µmol/watt isnt bad for $1,179.00 running at 646 Watts (1679.6PPF). I hit a cheaper price point running less wattage and hitting the same light output. Not sure where the issue is there. Mine does 1710PPF at 600W for $900. Seems like mine would be better. Keep in mind I round down to 2.85umol as well :)
So you've tested your proto already? To get these #s

I hope to fix that. If I can negotiate a lower price I may be able to cut off $100 per unit, but that only can happen with a large order.

Its based off of the LB301B SK 3000K stats that are available. You can look at the drive current and get a good idea of the output. Once I have the prototype in hand Ill be posting videos, taking photos, and doing PAR mappings.

Ok so it's calculated data? No real tests at all have been conducted? Did you take into consideration the efficiency of the driver at different forward voltages so you always get the same forward voltage binned LED's?

Yes I did take that into consideration. Yes its all currently off of real world calculations that have already been taken for the LM301B SK 3000K. Thats how I know they are accurate. Ive been around on the LED side for a good bit of time as many people around here know.

Samsung would say anything to get a sale. But anyway good luck with it. If you do want it tested properly by a proper machine look me up.

You would do much better just getting me $300k so I can give you $50K

I'm not really sure what the innovation is on this product. Sure it has the makings of a decent light fixture but other than having a different layout of LEDs on PCBs, it isn't really a leap in technology. You are doing what the Alibabs out there are doing and repackaging HLG's idea. Make a different product somehow, perhaps with multiple channels of monos or light moving mechanism built in. Maybe it could sing to the plants?

While I do wish you luck with your venture, I kinda agree with Greenerybob here. What makes your light special, or worth you bothering to try to make it a business? Its cool you put more diodes on each board I guess, but that's not really special. Is the spectrum special? I could care less if its 2.3 or 2.7 or 3.0 efficacy honestly if its actually quality. I am much more interested in the benefit of improved canopy coverage, like the Fluence bar lights, or the new Amare. Anyway I'm not trying to crap on your idea, just trying to critically discuss it.

You have to admit @TEKNIK just sound stupid as fuck though. Dude needs to stop drinking so much. Every post just sounds drunk drunk drunk drunk.
He's a cool dude too, I just don't like his ego. He's new to these forums and acts like he's the LED god whos all knowing with the best equipment for testing that seemingly only he has because everyone else is too "stupid" to use it.

It's not that they are too stupid to use it, it's a fact that they are too tight to buy the best equipment otherwise they would have it already. What's the point of calling yourself an led lighting company if you only have a hand held spectrometer that needs to work with your iPhone that tells you nothing but the spectrum. I spent the money because I'm not a tight arse and I do know more than others as a result. They have a long way to go to catch up.

@TEKNIK If you know soooo much more then others please show us some results. You do a lot of shit talking about other people lights, but I've never seen you post a light for sale, or an idea for one. I've never seen you post pictures of your amazing test equipment or all the hundreds of lights you test with it. You have never posted a picture of the plants you grow with your awesome lights, because you've told us you don't grow. So in the end its all just talking which does not make you any farther ahead of anyone. Making claims on the internet with nothing to back them is exactly what you bitch about these companies doing, yet it is precisely the same thing you do.

Now I'm not trying to be a dick here, but you've shit on so many threads with your "advanced knowledge" that has never been more then talk. You've been banned from other threads and yet you continue doing the same. There are a few sayings for times like this:

Either put up or shut up!

Pics or it didn't happen!

Don't talk the talk if you can't walk the walk!

He mentioned to @Stephenj37826 in the quantum board thread about his testing and Stephen told him they were holding out for for some more accurate near field testing equipment to be finalized and explained clearly why they wouldn't be interested.

So he went to another thread bagging on him claiming the reason they didn't want him to test was because they thought he was after some free lights when he clearly explained to him why.

I have posted the equipment I own a few times, this is how I am able to do tests for you guys on my own time to help improve the quality of the products you are buying. You will not see my own products on here for good reason.
