I Need to Mix Expanded Clay & Coco Croutons in DWC netpots, any thoughts or experience with this?

So I just made a new DWC system that I'm really excited to run and I've found myself in a predicament. Out here in Hawaii it's very difficult to get expanded clay on this particular island and I've only managed to find a small bag so far. There is a small grow shop here but they are 3 weeks out in getting any more and online is a similar wait time. So I do have a big bag of coco croutons and a 20lb bag of expanded clay. Between the two I think I can get the volume I need and I am ready to get theses seedling transplanted into the new system. Anyone ever done this?

doesnt sound like a good time to me.
If you cant get an expanded clay like hydroton, I would try to see if you can source some perlite to combine it with instead (if the holes in your pots are small enough for it).
Pics of your seedlings now? Its likely they can afford a couple weeks of waiting.
I tried a few different hawaii zips on some different offerings on amazon and there are a few that say by jul 10th which isnt bad.

Thanks, Yeah I saw those too and I think you're right to just wait it out. The seedlings will probably be just fine. They're still very young and rooting into some rapid rooter plugs

Yes you can mix it. There are several brands that sell it premixed. I've never used it myself but I have used the coco croutons and hydroton separately but I see no reason why they can't be mixed.

It’ll cause small particles to get in the buckets, change the color of your res water. I’ve never messed with that type of coir but I’d assume it’d swell up. You really don’t have much to worry about if that’s the route you wanna go or that’s all you can get a hold of. Go for it
