i dont think random pains should qualify you, unless it is severe and documented not cuz you wanted the card but because you HAD to see the doc. im all for legal pot but with the way things are now people are getting it for nothing and then abusing it.
Here is my problem with what you just wrote.....you seem to want to stick up for your rights, but not the rights of others? So what happens, McPurple, when opponents decide YOUR qualifications no longer count? From what I remember, you are a pain sufferer, and that is SUBJECTIVE. My point is this.....NO ONE has the right to decide what I use as medicine, or as fun, as long as it does not kill me.

I see you saying his back pain, caused by flat feet, is not a good reason to have medical marijuana. I say it is a GREAT reason to have medical marijuana, and the freedom to try your own ways of medicating from a plant.

Overall, if people continue to try to JUDGE all the patients and what DESERVES medical marijuana, most of us will be shit out of luck. So buck up, get on board, and stop judging folks on their qualifying conditions. No one has the right to dictate to folks how they medicate, ESPECIALLY from a naturally occurring plant.

I am not trying to start shit with you, just trying to make you see the contradiction you are supporting.

Well said. It is no different than what they are doing in Washington with the SIN Tax. Now trying to tax candy, chips, soda etc... because of health costs. Next they will say that pork or something else will be taxed because it is not health like say fish. OK, I'm stoned/Medicated, and rambling.

I've heard some places won't hire you if you smoke cigarettes... they're trying to control the masses.Oh and back pain isn't my only issue, I have IBS, so mmj helps with my stomach when its acting up, I also have insomnia, I'm lucky to get a solid 4-5 hours of sleep, with the help of mmj, I used to rely on sleeping pills and beer, great combo. But that never worked to well any way. With out mmj I get lil to no sleep. Oh and instead of drinking anymore I'll smoke one. So its not just random pain, I didn't realize I had to give my medical history on a forum to get good info. Stay high.

my reply was for phatnugget not you. if you have a real issue then you should get MMJ and if you cant then just say fuck it and still use. what i was trying to say if with out a legit emit reason like the 1st post in this thread then you should not get a medical card for medical purposes, just smoke it. most people who get it for small pains and aches are theri only to abuse it.

i will admit i have my card for severe pain in the lower lumbars ( L 1 and L2 ) cuz i broke them both very bad, i to have minor insomnia and severe pain caused by ozgodslaughters in my knees, i also have it to help keep food down and create and appetite for myself so i can eat.

these to me are real reasons to get one, not just cuz my back is feeling bad. its like a pill addict going to the docs just to get some more pills.
im not saying who deserves it and who doesnt but with the way the laws on MMJ are right now people with real casues should get it, i wish it were legal for every one.

and again this just goes to show my opinions always get clowned on. i see others posting opinions but no one bags on them.
any who.
keep em green and smoke a phaty

McPurple, you need to stop babying yourself, and stop pouting, please.

Again, you were not getting clowned on. Folks are finding your tidbits of information to be somewhat skewed, and they are making their own comments about it.

Overall, you fail to recognize that someone in the near future could rule YOUR qualifying condition NOT A "REAL REASON" to get a card. Then you will be shit out of luck, like the people you currently are judging as not having "Real" reasons to get a card.

The point, which you somehow manage to AVOID understanding is this......under current laws, EVERYONE's qualifying conditions can come under fire, unless you are a cancer patient, or AIDS patient (those seem to be the only 2 that consistently get ok'd by the public for medical marijuana, and what most of them point to as the reason they voted for the law.) Notice how I did not mention YOUR qualifying condition of pain in there.

There are already groups that are attacking our rights to our medicine. I qualify under PAIN and nausea. Some folks out there say I could do without MMJ for my pain and nausea, and they doubt whether I need it or not. They would love to JUDGE, just like you are, McPurple, and try their hardest to limit folks and their freedoms to find medicine that works for them.

Right now, until your overall attitude changes, you are shooting yourself, and other perspective MMJ patients in the foot.

This is why you get a lot of people upset about your posts.....it shows a general lack of compassion, and care for anyone but yourself.

I know you are a nice guy, from the sounds of it, but your take on MMJ is so backwards it makes me want to see you in line to get your card, with all those people you say do not have REAL qualifying conditions. Maybe if you had to walk a mile in their shoes, you MIGHT get it then.

Walking a mile sounds like a lot of work, How about we just drive there? lol
Bottom line is we all have some sort of underlining condition that enables us to smoke. How many of us smoked it before it was called medical? I know I did. I smoked for fun and for medical reasons before medical marijuana came into the spotlight.
Either way this plant isn't a plant that should be illegal for medical or recreational use, and I don't think any of us are here to fight that.
I just wanted to know how hard it was going to be for me to get my card when I get to Oregon. Without insurance and a job seeing a "real doctor" is going to be tuff. McPurp I hear what your saying about somke it even if your not a legal patient and you need it but, I like the comfort of being legal, especially if I have to grow it (which I like to do). I guess there's nothing like Ca. when it comes to getting your card, walkin, fill out a few forms, talk to doc about what ails you and how mmj helps, and viola you have a card.
any way I'm rambelin I'm high. stay high.

Get medical records from two or more Doctors. The have the records sent to a clinic that issues MMC's. It really is quite easy.
If you suffer from a aliment listed in the under OR. law.

That's part of the problem, haven't been to a physician in over 10yrs, I went to a foot specialist for orthopaedic inserts, I got flat feet hence the back problems, I don't have a regular physician. Hm, this might be harder than I thought... well haz thnx for your info, on this thread and others, I can't tell if people like you or not, lol but, I think your cool and I think you got your shit together, at least from what I've read in a few of these threads. Maybe I'll see you at the club when I do finally get out there. Stay high.
you will need 3 visits within the last 3 years to document your condition before you can start the process of getting your card.

you can visit some of the clinics here that work on siding scale costs for unemployed and low income people like yourself. i have been there before, it was $40 for a visit when i had unemployment income, the visit itself was free when i had no income, just had to pay for antibiotics and shots.

check out some of those community clinics, and be sure to request the right person. a PA (physician's assistant) does not count.

oh, and by the way, i got my card for "persistent muscle spasms".

i pulled a muscle when i stepped under a low shower head some years back and it locks up a lot ever since. cannabis doesn't really help i don't think, but it is still a qualifying condition.

Thanx UncleBuck. This is what I was looking for. So it sounds like I'll be "illegal" for a few years when I get to Oregon. Oh well, not like I haven't been before. You guys have been great help. Stay High!!!

not at all. you can schedule 3 appointments at 3 clinics on the same day. go in, complain about your qualifying condition, and leave. call back later asking for the doctor's notes about the meeting. once you have the records from three visits, you can send them to the MMJ clinic people and see their doctor.
