Anyways originally I posted that I needed a vacum and then realized thats only a fraction of the story!

Anyways after research I have decided to spend around ~$300-350 for my entire setup.

I hit up my local headshop-and have my extraction (glass tube), and my pyrex dish. I also am getting a IR thermometer

I am considering getting the Robinair 15500 VacuMaster 5 CFM Vacuum Pump, what else do I need for purging the oil-like what hot plates and anything else I need for $300-350?

Vacuum Chamber

a griddle or some sort of consistent heat source, that reaches low temps

also you don't necessarily need a 5CFM, you can use a 2CFM with good results

razors, butane "i use power 5x", parchment paper, coffee filters "unbleached", rubber band or some ppl use metal clamps to keep the coffee filters on the extraction tube. make sure to blast outside and dont smoke or have a candle going or anything that can spark the gases.

o ya and product lol

you can pick up vacuum pumps at H&F
but look on e bay you can get a chamber and a pump for around 200 to 250
then its just unbleached coffee filters parchment paper rubber bands and alot of trial and error

The most important part is a nonstick baking sheet and forget the damn razor blades and parchment paper and 90% of the work...

I have a 3 gallon chamber, 5 cfm pump, grill, etc... but the most useful thing of it all is nonstick baking sheets or nogoo pad... trust me

I would suggest a single stage pump, instead of the Robinair 15500 two stage. You don't need a two stage and they are both noisier and put out more vapor.

do you have any specific vacuums in mind FD? I'm also working on getting a setup, I dont mind spending a bit on a vacuum but I want it to last. Probably wont be doing many or big batches.

That is exactly what I was thinking!
I see that on ebay they range from 275+ would any of those work?

Also what size container do you think is needed? Obviously it is based off how much BHO im purging but ya like how big does the hash puff out to be etc?

Several good ones out there. On the cheaper end, my original CPS VP6S 6.2 cfm single stage is three or four old and has been tortured and abused unmercifully by myself and others, yet never misses a beat. We also picked up a Robinair 15500 5 cfm 2 stage, which we regret, and subsequently a second VP6S which so far is as reliable as the first one.
