Can you explain the whole rosin thing to me? I’ve been smoking for decades and growing my own since 07 but never had rosin or even understand exactly what it is. I make a lot hash from kief but don’t get how crushing buds makes it or why it doesn’t waste it. Seems like it would
im a newer rosin presser myself, to put it simply to make good rosin there are a few variables, and how much yield you get. Some people manage to get the thc % of the flower as their yield, I find that to be a crazy good benchmark. I’ve never succeeded in doing so but much better yields than say making bubble hash. It’s all about quality of product going in, the humidity of the bud, and what temp and how much pressure you press it at, plus if you use a bag or not to filter the bud.
The attraction of rosin comes from the solventless aspect of it, like making dry sift or water hash no scary chemicals to purge like with BHO.
From what I’ve read, flowerrosin seem’s to have good yields when you get it dialed in.
also there’s 2 types of rosin that I know of, hash rosin that’s pressed from bubble hash, or flower rosin made from straight flower. There’s also “live” versions of both I believe that are fresh frozen before pressing.
