Are you sure it was the watering?If it was doing so well, a little overwatering shouldn't have killed it.Maybe its something else.Maybe its a good thing you found out it was wimpy now, instead of in the offspring later.Not much comfort, I know.
i got pissed and threw it up and over the cat house then 30 feet into the side of one of my sheds. it looked so good 3 days ago. then i gave him just a little "splash". dead in 2 days. i saw it laying in the pile of aluminum cans so i had to at least stand it up.

Can you put it into a paper bag for a few days to see if pollen is salvagable? Keeping my fingers crossed for ya..kind of a hand picked male in the middle of a 5 year breeding program. i needed THAT one.

Sorry to hear about the male dying. Almost looks clonable but I know if ya couda you wouda. Once again sorry.
i got an F3 that made it. i have a small jar of pollen so far with more coming. i have back-crossed the F1a and the F1b so far. pics to come, .................... 
i have several phenos of F2 and i'm not sure which ones to pollinate. if not them all. they are each a little different.

nothing came outta them.cant you still harvest some pollen out of the dead one,some of those sacks look mature.?? i bet you could
my second F2 male died as well. i'm gonna go take some pics as soon as i set this pipe down.

thats shitty news man. i had something similar happen with a female. too much phosphorus and in 3 days the plant had died. hope your breeding project works out!
it's kinda good though. i skipped the F2's. i would have had 2 more phenos of pollen to use on who knows how many females. i'm gonna end up with 50 different crosses. lol now i just have 1 pheno of pollen so it will help hold me back. and it's F3 as well so it's cool.
i'm almost done with this bowl. do i repack it then go take pics? hmmmm, ............

oh ya check this out its my dads male plant he grew it in his garden,it was over 9 feet tall, we chopped it down with a chain saw!!thought it was time i showed u guys,first time showing cause i knew it was a male,but my dad wouldn't let me chop it till he saw pollen sacks lol.he was so sad
