You are correct, it is bad to do and you should think this through very carefully before you take another step. The repercussions of what you have in mind could be disastrous for you and many other people.

You should be commended for the care you are exhibiting regarding such a critical decision. I have developed a new and profound respect for you.

Sorry i hit enter too early but my question is i have a few satias ive been growing since end of january, and they have gotten too damm big my 4x4 grow tent is like a jungle inside(u can see some pics of them under my profile or older posts of mine, ill upload pics later driving in car now). I had some other plants that were sitting on the bottom underneath the sativas in my tent, and they are doing great they have been budding for weeks and i really feel as if the sativas are just taking too long to grow and too big to manage easily. So what ive been doing is taking the sativas in 5 gallon pots outside everyday when the weather is agreeable, and then taking them back in at night. I did this mainly because my 12/12 cycle has lights on during daylight hours so im trying to free up some space so i can focus on my other 5-6 plants which r doing great budding like crazy. The problem is its too damm hard to always be at my house 24/7 and remember exact times to bring plants in or outside, plus the weather here on east coast of usa has been shit lately rain rain rain everyday it seems. I have so much time invested in these giant sativas so its hard 2 throw them out, but they have been taking so god damm long to really bud. Ive started posts on this topic before regarding why the sativas r flowering like this. Yes i know this specific kind of plants can take very long to finish compared 2 indicas, but it seems like they have been the same for 3-4 weeks. They r pistols and hairs and what looks like the begging of budding sites all over the plant but other then that its almost like the plant has reached a stan still. I have had no light leeks , i flushed them several times , i even lst,d them with string down to the bottom of the containers they r in. So sorry for going on and on with my post and for my description of plants being all over the place, but my one main question really is : I know options r limited but i cant bare waiting for the sativas to finish much longer so can i pretty much trim the hell out of it? Im not talking about removing water leaves or decay i all ready tried that & plant is still to big & bushy. I was thinking of as a last resort to just cut a few inches off the tops of a bunch of the branches making them more compact so they can actually fit in my tent and under my 600 watt hps. I know u should never do this during flowering but its either throw them out completely or cut them 7 be happy to get a much smaller yeild . On top of all that who knows if the plants will ever really begin growing actuall buds (as i was saying before i keep thinking the plants might have just hit a stand still and our stuck , a guy from my local hydro... Store said this can happen sometimes and that its just bad genetics etc.) ps. Sorry again 4 length of post i will add pics shortly thank u 4 taking ur time 2 try & help me w/ my problem.

Damm i accidently hit enter before i typed my post before and what do you know i get more replies in 5 minutes typing jibberish then i have with actual questions. Lol

That was pretty difficult to read ,and i won't lie to you , i didn't.

But i did skim it and your basic question at the end was can you trim the hell out of your sativas. The answer is no.I have read somewhere if you remove to much it will stress the shit out of it.Especially in budding. You could end up with hermies stressing them girls so far into flower. You could also set yourself back weeks. My advice is to plan a bit better next time and be realistic about what you can fit in your grow space ,and what sort of timeframe for budding is acceptable to you...ie don't get nevilles haze and veg it to 3 feet or something lol

Yeah ur right i did veg the silver haze for about 6 -7 weeks or 3.5 feet thought it would double the size not 6x, sorry again 4 going on and on with my post im just going crazy thinking about what 2 do or what i did wrong .

Here r some pics i have on my phone from about 2 weeks ago, like i was saying before they pretty much look the same still maybe a few more sites popping up with pistols & white hairs. Its almost like the plant is trying 2 produce bud but they r just coming along way 2 skimmpy or how do u say it ??? Basically the opposite of nice dense nuggs they look light, airy, wimpy 2 name a few.

Im thinking about starting over with a new batch of seeds. What do u guys reccomend i should order in seeds, whats a good strain that yeilds well and can deal with the occasional harsh weather or element(being inside)! I have a full time job juggling the temperature in my tent it sometimes likes to get up their in 80,s. So yeah im looking for a fairly easy strain to grow thats good yeilding and preferabley quick to finish. Ive heard about big bud and some of its cross bred strains?

Dang you're growing a freakin tree in there. If you are gonna start over can you put it outside for the heck of it? Calcium for the spots.

Hey ,does look crowded in there ,heres an idea ,can you not put them somewhere else indoors like in your roof space or basement or your bedroom and black your windows out with plastic...

Tough call, how long have they been flowering for? I have always liked the idea of sativas but am finding out how much of a PITA they can be everytime. Hopefully this c99 does me right and finishes as quick as it's supposed to.

Anyways, I could totally see why you would want to start something new. You still have like at least 8 more weeks to go on those sativas and not any room. If you could get your hands on clones you could just flower those instead of the sativas or just flower the other plants you have. Right now I'm growing Pineapple Express from G13 labs and Chronic (feminized) from Serious Seeds. They both have flowered pretty nicely and I think my tent probably gets somewhat warm but I don't have a thermometer so IDK really. Good yeild though and they both really fill in the garden and are fruity and sticky. I'd recommend them.
