I keep getting a different story

So on Tuesday, I had to go back to see the doc regarding the Clonidine and the morphine. So I asked her why she post dated my script for the morphine and her response was to see if the Clonidine was working. Yet the pharmacy told me that they didn't fill it because it was faxed over and they don't automatically fill them. I couldn't be bothered....you just know when you're being fed a line of shit....so I told her to drop it down and let's keep going.

Ff to today....my new script for the new dose was sent to the pharmacy on Tuesday. I figures I could pick it up today. I went into the pharmacy asked for the script and was told there was no script to fill. So I call the doc..no everything is good the script was sent on Tuesday. So I call the pharmacy....

I reiterate the story of the post dated script.and the pharmacist says
P- it was just logged into the system yesterday.
Me- well I was just there and told there was no script
P- your doctor was very specific about when the last script could be filled
Me- so, this is a new script
P- the dose has changed
Me- so, it changes every month
P- well that script was for a week and the dosage h's changed so you should have a few extra pills.

That was when I hung up the phone. Who in the fuck gives them the right it pill count for me? Who says that me and doc didn't decide that drop phoning wasn't going to work and increase the dose again?

I told the pharmacist not to bother giving me some bullshit story about how not enough time has lapsed between scripts because I used to get 1g+ A day for 3 months at a time and two weeks before it ran out.

So I went down and asked
Me- was this script post dated
P- no it wasn't but the last was so specific as to release that we are actually giving it to you a day early
Me- so you're telling me that I would have had to miss my dose in the morning and wait until the pharmacy opened before I could get my script. Are you kidding me?

She told me to talk to the manager and I told her I would do just that.

WTF? I just don't get it...I'm having a hard enough time coming off this fucking shit and they just keep fucking adding to it. I so get why people go postal! Arrrrrgh

So tomorrow I'm going to call the pharmacists governing body and ask them to answer my very specific questions. Then I'm going to go down and talk to the manager of the pharmacy. I just haven't decide whether or not I'll tell her I've already contacted the authorities and know the answers to the questions or wait until she tells me something that doesn't jive and call her out.

sorry you are getting such a run around .....with these meds....
are they not supposed to try and work with the patient....rather than against....
I have been getting kinda tired of our local P's too....
I have even heard cracks like,,,,,"no one needs that many pain meds..."
or "your one day early"...on a Saturday afternoon....when the script is due Sunday....and the pharmacy isn't open Sunday...

Our pharmacy....has rotating pharmacist's all part timers.... past retirement age....
so maybe they are just jaded by all the addicts they have come across. or helped create..throughout their careers

Ya no shit...they're the fucking reason I am where I am. As I've been snooping around, I see that a high dose of morphine is considered 200mg/day. Well I guess they went a little past that at 1000mg/ day. Fuckers...of far this is my list of questions I will put to both the authorities and the pharmacist. If you can think of more, let me know.

Rule/regs/policy regarding dispensing of opiates.

If a script is faxed to a pharmacy from the docs office is it considered the same thing as dropping the physical script off?

If the dosage changes on a script, is that a reason not to dispense a new script?

If a previous script was post dated, and the script was for 7 days, how many days before that script is finished, can a new script for the same medication be filled?

Since when does a triplicate script require the doctor to indicate "for immediate dispensing?"

If a script is not post dated, it is considered immediately fillable?
Why does it go into the system and not get filled?

Who authorizes pharmacists to determine when a reduction in dose should occur and how many "extra" pills the patient should have?
To be told that I filled script for 7 days on the 12th and have since had a reduction in dose and then be told on the 18th (6 days later)that should have a few "extra" pills on hand because of that reduction...who does the pharmacist think she is? How do they figure they are dispensing a day too early? The pill police?

Who authorizes pharmacists to withhold scripts and for what reason?

That should get them started.

Sorry you are having to go through this bullshit.

If you want to come off of opiates completely you should look into ibogaine treatment, it is a completely unscheduled narcotic used to kick opiates and to trip balls if so desired (in certain dosages, apparently a far heavier trip than dmt or peyote).

It's also supposedly a really unpleasant trip full of body aches and pains and is very introspective in that it helps you point out all the shitty things you've done in your life and makes you dwell on that for a while. So be prepared for that too.

It can apparently last for 3-4 days as well unfortunately. As with all narcotics, it should be heavily researched before using and used while supervised in a safe secure feeling location (there are clinics that specialize in this).

I know people who swear by it as their cure for previous addiction to opiates, even know one who does it once a year to reflect. The shit scares me honestly, I would never take it recreationally I don't think.
